Artist Info:
Based in Brighton UK, Fingerman (AKA Gregg Holmes), has been spinning tunes since the mid-nineties jumping from multiple genres in his time. Originally a techno and house head, Fingerman caught the disco bug in the mid 2000’s whilst holding a vinyl only residency at Brighton long-running night club Casablanas. He then began to research the sample material from his favourite house records and, like a kind of domino effect, began following editors and producers such as Greg Wilson, Todd Terje and Dimitri From Paris. He began making his own re-edits of his favourite disco records in order to beatmatch them for club use soon after.

His extensive Soundcloud profile caught the ears of many big Dj’s on the scene such as Greg Wilson (Greg actually release 2 of Fingerman’s Reworks on his own A&R Edits Vinyl only label “Never Survive” and “Fool”), Late Nite Tuff Guy, Rayko, Dimitri From Paris, Dicky Trisco, Disco Tech and Pablo Contraband.

The past two years have seen many releases on a variety of top Disco labels such as Midnight Riot, Get Down Edits, Discodat and Chopshop many of which have received high praise and number one positions at Juno Records and Juno Download.

He has also recently branched out opening his own label Hot Digits Music, a Brighton based label that focuses on up & coming producers and well established disco stalwarts alike with the first few releases featuring work from Fingerman himself, Austrailian trailblazer DR Packer, Detroit funky man Pontchartrain and P-Funk rump shaker Tonbe.

A highly skilled Dj, Fingerman has now taken his disco sound worldwide this past year will gigs in Jakarta in Indonesia, Brussels and more close to home London, Ireland, Glasgow and Manchester playing alongside awesome Dj’s from the likes of Late Nite Tuff Guy, Mr Mendel and Greg Wilson.

Night Bus

What is Night Bus?

First, the simple answer - it's an electronic music soundtrack that works rather well on that long, late night journey on the night bus. It's atmospheric, ethereal, ambient, modern music with just enough drive to get you home. It's music to help you stare out of the window and notice the little details that make the ride kind of special. It's music to take you there and help you feel like you are somewhere else.

Then, the more complicated one - Night Bus is a collection of music made by a new generation of London based producers who work around the disadvantages of the current economic climate, resorting to computer programs and MIDI keyboards to create their musical exodus; who have grown up in the metropolis plugged into music on their mobiles, listening to dubstep and hip hop and auto tune pop and the sound of the city itself; who have filtered all this through their software to nurture and create a new sound, a new feeling, a new C21 ambient that, sometimes unconsciously, draws on the spirit of the classic artists  to create a new style. Everyone from Erick Satie to Brian Eno to Tangerine Dream to Burial is hidden in there somewhere. Night Bus is steeped in history but it has a sound that is all its own, and now it's becoming a genre in its own right. 

Night Bus is a compilation put together in collaboration by recording artist Jamie Isaac, film maker Wesley Stokes Mellor and MelodicaRecordings label boss Chris Coco.

Día soleado y bonito en Ibiza para decir adiós al gran José Padilla y homenajearle con este mix especial. Temas clásicos del programa que pinché en su memoria en Pure Ibiza Radio el pasado 21 de octubre. Fue algo improvisado, natural. Yo estaba afectado por su marcha y nada había preparado aún. Pero todo fue llegar a la emisora a las 3 de la tarde, mirar al cielo desde el estudio y sentir la conexión con José. El feeling del momento hizo lo demás. Y fue emocionante. Con este mix decimos muchas gracias al DJ que originó un nuevo movimiento musical y proyectó internacionalmente la Ibiza que nos gusta. Un hombre de música que es y será siempre un referente. Una inspiración. 
José Padilla, estas canciones son para ti.

Sunny and beautiful day in Ibiza. A special day in which we say goodbye to the great José Padilla with this special tribute mix. Classic tunes from the show that I played on Pure Ibiza Radio last October 21. It was something improvised , natural. I was upset by the news and nothing had prepared yet. But everything was arriving at the station at 3 in the afternoon, looking at the sky from the studio and feeling the connection with José. And it was thrilling. With this music we say thank you very much to the DJ who originated a new musical movement and internationally projected the Ibiza that we love. A man of music who is and will always be a reference. An inspiration.
