American DJ, is a DJ and producer natural from Yonkers (New York). Based in Portugal, he started Djing at the age of 17, with taste and passion for music. He never had doubts about what he wanted to do and, what would be his future.
His talent and professional skills have granted him the opportunity of playing at various clubs and events all over Portugal.
Always thinking about the evolution of his music career, he started producing in 2008.
Over the last years, he has been part of several projects, as dj and producer.
Currently, with numerous releases, on various labels, American DJ has reached the top sellers of does labels. His work has received support from several international DJs.

Every Friday's he plays on “Radio Caminha” from 1 pm till 2 pm. On Saturday's he plays in “Radio Horizonte” from 1 pm till 2 pm.

A lover of house music since I was 17. In 1987 I danced at The Hacienda and since that night, music as always been my love affair.
As a student I would play the early House sounds of Chicago and the early garage sounds of NYC with some soul thrown in.

I stopped DJing in 1993 due to my feeling to the music at the time was lost and I began to be a serious collector of underground vinyl from the disco era. A huge reader of anything to do with Larry Levan and the NY scene in the 70's and 80's I began bringing that passion to my sound.

Rediscovered DJing in 2005 with my trusty lap top as a much loved hobby bringing all my musical influences together, creating personal mixes for friends.
 
My sound is heavily Paradise Garage influenced with a strong sway towards the nu house sounds mixed with soul and disco. I love the classics from my Hacienda nights and I continue to play these as they are still so great. I love soundtracks so my mixes hopefully reflect the perfect soundtrack of a moment.
