This is a song about fighting the kind of darkness that doesn’t leave you alone. Like a blanket of darkness, a humidity of darkness. It’s about those nights when the past pulls at your heels, whispering in the quiet, and the only thing that seems to answer back is the weight you’re trying to escape.

I wrote this one from a place that settles in your bones. It’s for the moments when hope feels far off, the road feels heavy, and you start wondering why the wrong things seem louder than the right ones. Everyone talks about god, but hard to see when you feel more devil than god in your life such as a constant haunting. Sometimes the devil feels closer than anything that’s supposed to save you.

This song is about being honest. It’s about staring down the shadows, numbing what hurts just long enough to breathe, and trying like hell to believe there’s something better coming even when you can’t see it yet.

There is a level of vulnerability here.  All of my songs are written entirely by me - every lyric, melody, chord, and rhythm. The only thing that isn’t me is the voice in the recordings. Until I can, this will have to do. 

I make music the same way I approach everything in life: with intention, curiosity, and a drive to keep learning. After all, I’m just here getting stuff out of my head and off my heart.
