Focusing on “Don’t” though, Chris Holly has graced the existing and soon to be new fans with an end of the year treat that has delivered big. Keeping things fairly classic in tone, but overwhelmingly poignant within his imagery-filled lyricism and divine vocals, we instantly hailed this one as a winner. In the end, it made us feel good and provided a much needed dose of optimism in the demeanor and atmosphere of the song. There’s something extremely soothing about Chris’ vocals and delivery, which is part of the reason we took to this so quickly.

Cobbled from a few lyrics written by artist Alexis Perry, Chris Holly completed his new tale of redemption, and saying goodbye. Painted with 12 string guitar tracks, it’s an emotional testimonial following Chris Holly’s near death experience from COVID (vaxxed) at High Noon on August 31st, 2021 when he flatlined for 12 seconds. 

The songs artwork says it all…Chris Holly captured in the recording studio following his first vocal takes after the N.D.E.  he broke down in tears knowing he had lived to write and share his music, something he has done since the 80’s starting on Sunset Strip glam band scene then joining OMEN in the much heavier thrash metal scene. The verses start off with such sadness as they detail a character who is lonely, heartbroken, and lost. The character meets a woman who tells him that no one should be lonely on Christmas night. Instead, rage against the dying of the light. Speak up, be heard, reach out. The song is inspired by the message of suicide prevention. Though it sounds really depressing at the beginning, the real message comes at the end of the song, offering encouragement for those who need it during this holiday season.
