The Afters following the Hernan Cattaneo show, at the Dallas End-up 6/25

Hello friends, 
  I began dipping my toe into DJing in the mid 90s. Dissatisfied with the endless loop of the 7-10 songs on pop radio cracking out of the speakers in the salon I was working, I decided to try and bring my own music collection to the shop. I was an avid (possibly obsessive) collector of lounge, electronic, ambient and dance type music. Im embarrassed to say what I must have spent in those days at Oak Lawn Records, Tower, and Virgin - may they all rest in peace - but it also began time to get some equipment. I purchased some equipment, albeit simple rudimentary gear at my local guitar center and began making compilations at first, and mixes as I progressed and developed more of a skill and ear for it.
 Today I enjoy playing different types of sets and venues. I typically do a monthly show at one of the more underground-friendly spots in Dallas where i can play out some dance melting bangers, as well as more lounge and downtempo sets for hotel lobbies, art galleries and the like.

A true lover of sound, I interpret the rhythms and vibes of good music through movement, dancing to the beats that make my soul come alive. Expect mixes that bring energy, emotion, and the freedom to let go.
