Back to the Beach

It's been a while hasn't it? Apologies, been busy setting up a new business www.discotees.co.uk - which has taken up most of my time.

So here is my first mix since February - Two-and-a-half hours of slightly more uptempo and chuggy tracks, with an eclectic twist. I had in mind the eclectics stage at Alfresco, which I'll be playing at on 27th August, so this will give a flavour of what it might be like.

Howler's Balearic Breakdown Vol 16

So, a few weeks ago, I received a lovely package from Leo Mas containing a load of late 80's/early 90's Italo House tracks, which form the excellent 'Ciao Italia - Generation Underground' compilation that is forthcoming on Rebirth for Record Store Day.

Listening to the tracks really took me back, so I put together this little tribute mix using only tracks from the comp. It's quite different from what I play these days, but was a lot of fun to do!!

Howler's Balearic Breakdown Vol.14

Here is my mix that was done for The Bocadillo Juniors 12 hour Xmas takeover. All you have to go on is the last track of the previous DJ's set (so the Original Rocker's - Push Push track that opens this is from Birmingham DJ, Steve Bignell). This set was going out on air at around 2230, so I was trying to recreate the feeling of being in the middle of a dancefloor, spangled, and locked in the groove. Or, as someone said on the night - "It's like I've done too much gear in a Belgian sex-dungeon".

Anyway - here you go, 50 minutes of throbbing, heads-down, pumpers x
