This is Anoice's live album 'Live in Tokyo 2025', a recording of the entire live performance which was held in Tokyo on March 9th.

This live show was the first since Anoice released their latest album, 'Stories in White', and you can feel the destructive beautiful soundscape through their magnificent orchestral sound and stunning noises, which do not seem that they were created with only four members. The set list were selected thoroughly from all the seven albums from the first album 'Remmings' to the latest album 'Stories in White', and it consists of beautiful songs with a tension that is Anoice's unique within the world, created by a contrast of the silence and roaring sound; from neo-classical songs with a solemn and quiet atmosphere, such as 'liange' and 'all is white', to instrumental rock songs featuring a distorted guitar and intense drums such as 'kill lies all' and 'finale'.

Sounds of desperation

Self-made misery, a cloud that never lifts,
Living every single day like Monday’s endless shifts.

Under leaden skies, they trudge along,
Every step a burden, every hope long gone.
Counting down the hours till the dusk returns,
Lost in the cycle of the same old churn.

Faces in the mirror, all look the same,
Echoes of their dreams, just whispers in the rain.
Holding onto memories that fade away,
Living in the twilight of another wasted day.

Stuck in the grayscale, where the sun won’t rise,
Every breath we take feels like a compromise.
Wading through the gloom, with no end in sight,
We’re forever chasing shadows in the endless night.

Every road they walk leads to the same dead end,
Every fleeting joy, just another trend.
Caught in the loop, where the darkness thrives,
Forever in the shadow of their nine-to-five lives.

In a world on fire, where the oceans rise,
Counting down the days till the final demise.
Boomers left the wreckage, and we bear the scars,
Dreaming of revenge under fading stars.

And if the sun should rise, they’d never know,
Lost in the haze of their own shadow.
Wishing for a change that never comes near,

Too many people on this crowded sphere,
No room for hope, just a growing fear.
Breathing out carbon, every sigh a sin,
Wondering if there's any way to begin.

So we lie down silent, in the ashes grey,
Hoping that the earth might heal one day.
Breathing less deeply, counting down the cost,
In a world where all the dreams seem lost.

Stuck in the grayscale, where the sun won’t rise,
Every breath we take feels like a compromise.
Wading through the gloom, with no end in sight,
We’re forever chasing shadows in the endless night.

Staring at screens while the world decays,
Talking big change but lost in the maze.
Hands too soft to grip the plow,
Wondering why it all falls down now.

Blaming the past for the mess we’re in,
But doing nothing more than a virtue grin.
Talking 'bout justice from a cushy seat,
While the world burns beneath our feet.

But it's all on us, this tangled fate,

Lament of the Last Generation

Once upon a time, I wrote music and played in Bellingham Washington--in the 90's coffee shops, or busking at the park. Then I joined a cult (whoops) and was kidnapped by a beast who ruined the album I was working on with white boy beat boxing to "surprise me." Surprise! It took me decades to afford the time and the equipment to start over again. Oh well. Every superhero needs an origin story, and that's mine.

I recorded these songs during FAWM 2025, intending to share them only with my grown children. But, you know, plans change. Here I am. Here this is. My words, pulled gaily (never straight) from Cerridwyn's Cauldron, flung into the wind like a spell. 

Let the Green Lady return and claim her kingdom.
