Sejon, a UK-based techno producer, introduces his latest track, ‘Pretentious Title,’ as part of NECHTO’s exclusive Bandcamp project. Conceived during a period of introspection following a family emergency, the track embodies Sejon’s journey from darkness to hope. Known for his purist approach to techno with a gritty edge, Sejon blends raw, rhythmic power with hints of funk and soul. His hybrid production style, combining TR-909 drums and analog hardware with DAWs, gives ‘Pretentious Title’ its textured depth and live, jam-based energy.

Through NECHTO’s Bandcamp project, Sejon’s work finds a fitting platform, showcasing both his technical craft and emotional expression. By allowing producers to retain all revenue and focus solely on creativity, NECHTO’s initiative supports emerging voices and promotes a fresh, independent approach to electronic music in today’s crowded industry landscape.

This mix was recorded live from Reaktor's Katharsis event in 2017.  For those that don't know, Katharsis happens once a year and is dedicated to the faster, harder and more industrial side of techno.  This was my entire 3 hour set from that night.

Over the last few years we have built a steady relationship doing events together and sharing our passion for this music.  We are teaming up once again for ADE 2018 and releasing this mix as a thank you to all our followers and supporters.
