"Wissenwertes" zum Wort >ILLUSION<?!

Im engeren Wortsinn ist eine Illusion eine falsche Wahrnehmung der Wirklichkeit. In einem weiteren Wortsinn werden auch falsche Interpretationen und Urteile als Illusion bezeichnet.

In der psychiatrischen Fachsprache wird unter einer Illusion eine Sinnestäuschung verstanden. In Fällen, in denen bei der Wahrnehmung wirklich Vorhandenes als etwas anderes erlebt oder für anderes gehalten wird, als es tatsächlich ist, wird von „illusionärer Verkennung“ gesprochen. Illusionen stellen damit eine verfälschte wirkliche Wahrnehmung dar. So wird z. B. ein Baumstumpf als eine sich hinkauernde Gestalt verkannt oder die zweidimensionale Abbildung eines Gegenstandes mit dem dreidimensionalen Gegenstand selbst verwechselt.[1] Illusionen unterscheiden sich deutlich von Halluzinationen, die Wahrnehmungserlebnisse darstellen und damit wie Sinneseindrücke erlebt werden, obwohl sie auf keine entsprechende Reizquelle bezogen werden können. Als Wahn bis hin zur Wahnwahrnehmung wird dagegen nicht eine Wahrnehmung, sondern eine Fehlbeurteilung der Realität bezeichnet, sozusagen eine falsche Meinung darüber, die – ähnlich einer festen Überzeugung oder fixen Idee – mit einer von der konkreten Erfahrung unabhängigen Gewissheit vertreten wird. An dieser wird gleichzeitig mit unbeeinflussbarer, unerschütterlicher Sicherheit festgehalten, auch wenn sie im Widerspruch zur Wirklichkeit und selbst zur bisherigen eigenen Erfahrung einschließlich der von anderen Menschen und deren gesamten Denken und Meinen steht.[2] [3]

Unser guter Freund und treuer Weggefährt Mario ist von uns gegangen und das leider viel zu früh.

Wir werden seine Warmherzigkeit, seine Ehrlichkeit und seine Einzigartigkeit immer in Ehren halten und die besonderen Momente, die wir gemeinsam erleben durften tief uns unser Herz schließen.

Sein Set entstand vor einem knappen halben Jahr in Vorfreude auf einen besonderen Gig. Nach über 10 Jahren Festivalurlaub auf seiner geliebten Nature One wurde einer seiner größten Träume war. Er spielte zum ersten mal auf einem offiziellen Floor des Festivals. Wir können Euch aus eigener Erfahrung sagen, dass sein eigener kleiner Floor auf dem Campingplatz von Jahr zu Jahr schöner wurde und die beste Party dort abging. Auch einer dieser Momente den wir nie vergessen werden.

Mario alter Freund. Wir wünschen Dir dass Deine Seele ewig in der Musik weiterlebt und hoffen dass Du weißt wieviel Deine Freundschaft uns bedeutet hat.
Schade dass wir uns nicht mehr gemeinsam über Deinen Mix bei uns freuen können doch wir glauben dass es Dich genauso glücklich macht wie uns.

I am really happy to give away my this years "Christmas Mix" (Number 05). This time I decided to record my DJ Mix in a Club in Germany (Augsburg) called "Kesselhaus" which I really love. This week´s #AMFM is the fourth and last hour of my set that I played on August the 12th at Sunny Beach, a Bulgarian beach on the Black Sea… Well the actual venue is called Cacao Beach, quite a beautiful place with an amazing sunrise in the morning. It had been a pretty intense, fun and long day before we headed out to Bulgaria, cause it was on the same day of the great Swiss Streetparade in Zürich where I played on a float with @dice. A fun day, but also a little demanding with regard to sleep and activity. The plan was to play 5h at Cacao Beach, from 2-7 am, so into the sunrise. Shortly after we got to the venue, the promoter told us, that the government is regularly checking the sound levels of all places on the beach and that I had to play at around 90 dB for the most part. For those of you not familiar with levels, in a club it is relatively normal to have about 100-120 dB. So when I started a little delayed (this is why the whole set is only about 4h and 40min long) I tried to make the best out of it and luckily the crowd was very understanding and we ended up having a real good night/morning. Well you can judge yourself by checking out the set. Now that you have all the four parts you could even put them together into a playlist and listen to the whole set with seamless transitions. One major reason for me to upload the set to #AMFM was, that those who were there should be able to have the opportunity to listen again… and loud… enjoy..

On September 30th 2017 I played a 4h set at the beautiful Spazio 900 in Roma. It was part of a beautiful Italian weekend that had started with a super-fun night at Dude Club in Milan on Friday. There are nights when just everything flows together amazingly well. I had some new tracks that somehow fit into the vibe of that night so well, that it made it even more special to play at this amazing venue, where I have spent already quite a few good nights. That´s why I wanted you to relive this set again. Some of you might have noticed, that not only because of using my new Native Instruments Maschine MK3, I changed a little bit the way I play. Not so much musically, but technically, with more dynamics, resulting in a different vibe. Well, maybe you notice… and even if not, I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed playing. This is the third hour of the set, in my opinion one of the best sets that I ever got to play there…. Italia is amazing and I thank you all for the constant love and passion that I get to experience there. Grazie Mille!

Chris Liebing is synonymous with techno. His legacy is long assured, but his craft never stops evolving. Whether as label head, podcast curator, DJ or producer, he continues to challenge himself and his audience to explore new realms in the electronic world. And often ahead of the curve, too, from the early, hard-edged and loopy 90s sound which is back en vogue today, through his more stripped-back turn of the millennium minimalism and onto the cinematic atmospheres and broader alternative electronica of his latest albums on Mute. It's no stretch to say, then, that Chris Liebing's story is closely connected to the story of techno itself. 

Liebing is considered a global techno ambassador, but his ambitious album projects and direct club tracks excite and innovate as much as any new school star. A proudly forward-thinking attitude ensures that is the case as his DJ tools and studio setup constantly evolve. He continues to be an early adopter of emerging technology, too, just as he was with vinyl controllers, Traktor and when leading the way with full hybrid/live DJing. 

These days, Liebing incorporates an ever wider sphere of sound into his own work. After an eight-year break from full lengths, 2018's Burn Slow on Mute was a creative rebirth that received critical acclaim and confounded all expectations. It was a melancholic mediation on gothic moods, looming apocalyptic landscapes and optimistic broken-beat techno that drew from his childhood love of Depeche Mode, Gary Numan and the New Romantic movement. 

Remixes for Depeche Mode and Goldfrapp followed alongside a collaborative single with Charlotte De Witte, and 2021 brought a second album on Mute, Another Day. It found Liebing exploring all new ways of expressing both his euphoric and melodic side, all with high-grade technical skill and meticulous sonic craft with a range of collaborators from Miles Cooper Seaton to Polly Scattergood. This exceptional form continued into 2023 as he returned to the club with his Love Those Who Fight With Passion And Faith EP on CLR, a passionate and politically charged call to the dance floor that joined Liebing and Luke Slater’s remix of Depeche Mode’s iconic ‘Ghosts Again’ in the first half of the year. 

Born in Giessen and active ever since the 1990s, Liebing has always platformed the talent around him as much as himself: a long time before they were commonplace, he famously helmed his own CLR podcast. For many years, it was the scene's most influential series, with a who's who of international pioneers at the helm. After that came the equally important AM/FM radio show, but now following a hiatus, the CLR podcast is back and pushing a fresh techno agenda, as is his iconic label of the same name.

In its first chapter, CLR stood for Chris Liebing Records, then Create Learn Realize, and now Create Learn Repeat - a subtle evolution that is at the heart of everything Liebing does. The label will always be synonymous with exciting techno and is now back hosting parties and festival stages. 

Though his music is underpinned by pulsating menace and a stomping sense of drama, Liebing himself is friendly with a famous smile. It is the music that motivates him and the freedom that comes with increased experience. These days there are no limits, no expectations, but a continued love for the art and craft of techno that is taking him down all new creative pathways.
