Chris Liebing is synonymous with techno. His legacy is long assured, but his craft never stops evolving. Whether as label head, podcast curator, DJ or producer, he continues to challenge himself and his audience to explore new realms in the electronic world. And often ahead of the curve, too, from the early, hard-edged and loopy 90s sound which is back en vogue today, through his more stripped-back turn of the millennium minimalism and onto the cinematic atmospheres and broader alternative electronica of his latest albums on Mute. It's no stretch to say, then, that Chris Liebing's story is closely connected to the story of techno itself. 

Liebing is considered a global techno ambassador, but his ambitious album projects and direct club tracks excite and innovate as much as any new school star. A proudly forward-thinking attitude ensures that is the case as his DJ tools and studio setup constantly evolve. He continues to be an early adopter of emerging technology, too, just as he was with vinyl controllers, Traktor and when leading the way with full hybrid/live DJing. 

These days, Liebing incorporates an ever wider sphere of sound into his own work. After an eight-year break from full lengths, 2018's Burn Slow on Mute was a creative rebirth that received critical acclaim and confounded all expectations. It was a melancholic mediation on gothic moods, looming apocalyptic landscapes and optimistic broken-beat techno that drew from his childhood love of Depeche Mode, Gary Numan and the New Romantic movement. 

Remixes for Depeche Mode and Goldfrapp followed alongside a collaborative single with Charlotte De Witte, and 2021 brought a second album on Mute, Another Day. It found Liebing exploring all new ways of expressing both his euphoric and melodic side, all with high-grade technical skill and meticulous sonic craft with a range of collaborators from Miles Cooper Seaton to Polly Scattergood. This exceptional form continued into 2023 as he returned to the club with his Love Those Who Fight With Passion And Faith EP on CLR, a passionate and politically charged call to the dance floor that joined Liebing and Luke Slater’s remix of Depeche Mode’s iconic ‘Ghosts Again’ in the first half of the year. 

Born in Giessen and active ever since the 1990s, Liebing has always platformed the talent around him as much as himself: a long time before they were commonplace, he famously helmed his own CLR podcast. For many years, it was the scene's most influential series, with a who's who of international pioneers at the helm. After that came the equally important AM/FM radio show, but now following a hiatus, the CLR podcast is back and pushing a fresh techno agenda, as is his iconic label of the same name.

In its first chapter, CLR stood for Chris Liebing Records, then Create Learn Realize, and now Create Learn Repeat - a subtle evolution that is at the heart of everything Liebing does. The label will always be synonymous with exciting techno and is now back hosting parties and festival stages. 

Though his music is underpinned by pulsating menace and a stomping sense of drama, Liebing himself is friendly with a famous smile. It is the music that motivates him and the freedom that comes with increased experience. These days there are no limits, no expectations, but a continued love for the art and craft of techno that is taking him down all new creative pathways.

Bio:
Døc is a musical project by Irish DJ and producer Darren Doherty. A well established name on the Irish clubbing scene, Døc’s first real experience of dance music happened after he snuck into a nightclub at the tender age of fifteen, instantly falling in love with the tunes, atmosphere and vibes, Doherty promised himself that one day he would return to the club, Privilege, Longford, as a DJ. He then devoted himself to achieving that goal and eventually enjoyed a very successful residency there.

With over twenty year’s worth of experience behind the decks, it’s safe to say that Døc is an artist who has truly mastered his craft. Based in Sligo, the home to clubbing in the west of Ireland, Døc has been controlling crowds in the region with his genre hopping brand of deep, progressive and techy basslines for well over a decade, never failing to lift the energy in a room and create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back and begging for more. Having played in many of Ireland’s biggest and most popular venues, Døc has played a number of international shows, most notably at the Circle Warehouse Party London, Sankeys Ibiza, Eden Ibiza, Circle Miami and Hï Ibiza, supporting the likes of Danny Howells, Clive Henry and Alex Arnout in the process.

Døc is also an extremely accomplished producer, having been making his own original productions for over ten years. He has a string of successful releases behind him, both as part of the Døc project and under other aliases. He has had a number of tracks signed to Suro Recordings including his collaboration with Marc de Pulse on the track Birthing Star, released in September 2017. Døc’s music has received support from some real heavy hitters in the industry, including Nick Warren, one of the world’s best known progressive DJs.

Døc currently holds several local and international residencies, including slots at Spiral Tree, Longford and appearances with Circle Experience in London, Ibiza, Miami & Berlin. He also often plays guest slots with some of Ireland’s leading club brands in venues up and down the country. With a regular podcast series, Døc-Cast and Døc's Picks and his new residency on Ibiza Club News radio, it is evident that Doherty is one of the hardest working DJs currently on the Irish scene, and one that is set to be here for many years to come.

Echt faire Unternehmung das Soundcloud :)) Da lacht das Musik-interessierte Herz :) HINWEIS FÜR DIE NETTEN MENSCHEN/DJs/PRODUCER etc.: In Gottes Namen benennt Eure freigestellten Tracks bzw. Sets doch auch bitte mit Namen wie DJsoundsoundso-After Party irgendwann im nirgendwo usw...!!!! Da Ihr ja alle werben wollt mit Euren Stücken wäre es echt angebracht daran zu denken das Ihr diese Geschenke auch ordentlich tituliert, ist mein Gedanke bei vielen downloadablen Stücken und dann kann ich, wenn mal auf der Platte gespeichert, leider oft nicht mehr sagen wer welch geilen Mix von Euch Meistern/innen all over the world gestiftet hat und teilweise wäre es aber angebracht, als Sammler aller edlen Sessions like yours are for example, auch sogleich möglichst noch viel mehr an Stücken von dem/derjenigen runtersaugen zu können was aber bei null Info (oft nicht einmal der DJ-Name!!)echt schwer möglich ist... lol Da fängt Werbung erst an... oder hört sogleich wieder auf... ;))  Und nachschauen nachträglich wird sich nie wer für eine Benennung eines Sets antun das der Namensträger nicht der Mühe wert fand zu signieren, auch klar. Na dann... ;)) Und mit der Bitte im Voraus auch weiterhin so verdammt dufte Muke zu produzieren/aufzulegen und dann zumindest teilweise frei zu geben! Ich höre mir nämlich mit Sicherheit jedes meiner 100 - 200.000 Sets zumindest einmal an und ehre jede gute DJ-Arbeit mit Freude am Hören und Mundpropaganda im engsten Freundeskreis bzw. wird fleissig mit meinen followern auf SC gechanged... Somit schließt sich der einzigartig gut dastehende Kreis der Soundcloud-User und jeder hat seine Freude dabei liebe Freunde der volkstümlichen Techno-Folklore und ähnlichem "Soundcloudsheaven"! So long! Rock on! Just use your brain (just try at least ;)!) and dont go scary or insane! RESPECT TO ALL DJs who make me often much happier than without the sets!! Interested and in tune with many diverse forms of music, no matter the genre. His passion is for Funk and Groove built on a solid foundation bassline with a sprinkle of our synthedelic and/or Punk & an air of psychedelic electro with a shamanic voodoo vibe. He grew up with the music of many influence from Synth, Nu Wave,Punk, Indie and early Dance culture, key stand outs thou Chicago House and Detroit Techno. A huge shout out to my mentor and great friend Paul who inspired and enlightened me since late 80's the magic and importance of electronic music; thank you Paul. After arriving in NewYork in the early 90's after graduation in Architectural Graphic design, cutting his teeth in A multi culture with many influences. This vibe influenced his sense of rhythm and energy which is felt in his selection and passion for good Music. Having a broad but particular range which has something else within a very provocative and unique sound moving with eternal yet an earthy journey. Buying 12" from the initial providers such as Submerge Detriot. Worked in the Music business for many years with BPM records as a buyer of all Electronic/House/Techno with a major focus on these genres and 12" Vinyl as a media. 

Playing DJ gigs in Ireland, UK, Europe in the early days having a few regular and Irregular slots ultimately a residency at South Club Tramore. 
GBN is always drawn to the evolution of Music in its many forms and keeps the freshness and energy alive as it moves into the 21st Century.
