'Old Skool versus New School' describes his newest production best. 
'Perc' is a very special and functional track with strong beat elements and loveley, oldskoolish chords combined with a very catchy vocal sample. 
On remix duties we have no one less than 'Cecille's' HUXLEY who delivered a 100% quality remix as usual. This time it's not exactly the sound he is known for – he tried something new and that makes this EP even more special! 
KEV OBRIEN &amp; CHRIS LUZZ also put their hands on Sasse's elements and come up with a very clear and deep interpretation of the original mix: Just awesome! 
We are more than proud to present these high class producers on our label and hope you like these mixes as much as we do! Btw., artwork comes as usual from our graphic lady Julia, who painted this funky picture! Pure skillz! Thx Julia!

The first thing you notice is the space. Where the original moved with intimate urgency, this version stretches out, unhurried. The drums and tempo move this into dancefloor territory - a kick that breathes rather than punches, percussion that whispers suggestions rather than commands.
Goapele's vocal remains the centre, untouched but reframed. It floats now over waves of sub-bass that roll in and recede like a slow tide. There's a dubwise sensibility to how the elements appear and disappear - that understanding of absence as an instrument in itself.
Around the one-minute mark, the arrangement opens up completely. The melody fragments and scatters, held together only by the bassline and her voice. It's the kind of moment that makes you understand why certain records work at 4am - when clarity comes not from addition but from reduction.
 You can hear the room in it, the air around the instruments, the deliberate imperfection that makes it human.

To close out the month, I’m excited to offer my remix of Sasha’s Boileroom (from his Airdrawn Dagger album) as a free download. Many of you have asked about this track, especially after the videos surfaced from this year’s Sunwaves closing in Mamaia. It’s a pleasure to finally share it with everyone—enjoy!
