One of the greats by Bob Dylan in 1962.   This song has been covered by Elvis, Eric Clapton, Waylon , Willie and Merle, John Mayer, Ed Sheenan ,Peter Paul and Mary,  and the list goes on.   Wow- this song has been with me a long time.  I can't do it justice but this is a simple version that I enjoy playing.

Pictures In My Heart(Original)

Songster version was a little ‘copla’ about not being able to be with, nor without, a loved person.  As usual, I’ve ‘upgraded’ it, process from which you only get the final result, normally. 

But, following lyrics’ contradictions, I not only serve parts with different levels of (dis)order in heavy rock - flamenco sauce, but raw vs very cooked parts as well, starting with the improvised phone recording of the very first idea I had to develop the song, so please excuse my failures and noises.

Working on some blues tracks for the new CD. I'm not sure if this effort will make the cut but I learned a lot while writing my supporting tracks and  mixing my keyboard work.. I tried also to keep my bass part in sync with the Bass drum.. key for lots of punch.

The "Fly Like An Eagle" Remix EP is a reflection of letting go and allowing space for loved ones lost the freedom to transition into the next faze of existence. Darren Douglas Danahy wrote a complete demo version of this song in Ableton Live and as is our usual workflow he sent me the whole project and we went from there.

Drums from Stoney were added to replace most of the Digitakt ones, new bass was added by me and another lot of Bass 6 by 3D as well as vocals from Kathy Freeman and Stone.

All in all a fun project and a great track to launch the new BC page, thank you 3D for graciously letting me have your hard earned creativity adorn this and for Kathy and Stone joining in the fun.

Sometimes in Life........Storms blow in. Storms of varying  types and intensity. There are times, where we hang on and hunker down, and other times we 'retreat' and drive away to safety. Then, there are those that leave as quickly as they appeared  and take all of their fury and turmoil along with them and just move along. Recently, played my Strat as one encroached upon us in an attempt to capture the feel of one of these Mini-Monsters that emerged rather quickly, but left with much less ferocity than most. Chris, hailing  from North West  Tasmania in Australia, is a singer-songwriter who pens originals, and  plays vintage music the way it used to be.  Her mashup of  Folk, Blues,  &  Americana  draws on a lifetime of  encounters with places, people, and the magic of nature;  echoing  a multitude of  global grassroots traditions. 
Traveling around carrying her “band” like a pack pony ~ lap-slide, banjo, uke, as well as a few plain ole guitars, she  regularly performs in Australia and Europe.
Growing up in Merseyside, England, Chris was exposed to the vibrant music scene of the late 60’s and 70’s,  and her music is has been influenced by  traditional folk, country blues, and  world music .
In 2016 she represented her State at the International Blues Challenge & National Women in Blues Showcase in Memphis,  and her second album,  “Wailin’ & Raggin’ the Blues” was  a   finalist for “Best Self-produced CD with the Blues Foundation , USA.  Her third album, “Twisted Roots & Twisted Highways” was  a finalist for Blues & Roots Radio Album of the Year in 2018.
