it's only a game

it was through playing in various bands over the years that i realised that egos have a big part in a musicians personality, and often these egos collide with other egos and can achieve exceptional results, on other occasions sadly, they implode and then move on..... unfortunately for me the second option happened for many years before, finally, i decided that it was best to do everything on my own, and then i would only have to deal with my own demons and ego............all this meant was that i had to learn to play everything and write songs with no one else's input.......

producing house tunes was a totally different way of writing music, the whole idea of using samples was a new concept, and i soon found myself lifting snippets of vocals, strange sounds, noise etc from films, radio, records etc. to get what i wanted to use, wherever i can though, i try to use real instruments to get that more human feel and i still write in, or play all the basslines.........
