Thick Optiks for the last 15 years has been a staple in his home town of Ogden Ut, droppin those funky dirty breaks and dark tech house flavor. Although for the last three years he has decided to take a step back and venture into a whole new identity and realm of music. SoulHacka-Dubstep & DES_DEMON-D&B are the 2 alias he uses With his signature Dark-n-Techy Styles Of Dubstep And Drum&Bass currently he has develop the 2 new alias for these styles because he felt that if he was to go by his original DJ name everybody would be expecting  house or breaks so he has came up with 2 names that fit these styles and genre perfectly. Now He has decided to switch things up again. I spoke with vincent recently about what he has been up to these last few months andhe indicated. That he has been working on a little experiment to totally drop his original DJ Name and go by a whole new Name. He said for the last 8 months he has been giving out demos stating he had found a DJ on the internet that was sick as hell and to give him a listen. Well in his own words he said to me that the feed back was alot better than he had expected and decided it was time to change it up again. When asked why this why now. Vincent said without skipping a beat. That his production work has been laying somber long enough and that he had finally found that harmonious vibration that makes him just want to be creative and inventive as possible. After words I asked him what was this sound that has him going nuts. He simply said (You Will just need to check out the 2 new mixes to find out. SaintVII was born in a small town in the United States. From an early age, he developed a passion for music, particularly electronic dance music. He was particularly drawn to the energy and rhythm of drum and bass, which would eventually become his signature genre.

Deep in the underground since 2004, SaintVII began experimenting with mixing and DJing at local events and parties. He quickly developed a talent for beatmatching and song selection, and soon began playing at larger events and clubs in his area. Saint VII supplies the best in bass. Inspired by artists such as Gridlok, Andy C, Goldie, Noisia, Mefjus, Camo & Crooked, and more. 

As his reputation grew, SaintVII began to branch out into other genres of electronic dance music, incorporating elements of House, Breaks, and Dubstep into his sets. He quickly gained a following among fans of underground dance music, and his unique style and energy made him a favorite among audiences around the world.

Despite his success, SaintVII remains grounded and dedicated to his craft. He is constantly exploring new sounds and techniques, always pushing the boundaries of what is possible with drum and bass and other genres of electronic dance music.

Today, SaintVII is considered one of the most exciting and innovative DJs in the world of electronic music. With his high-energy sets and cutting-edge productions, he continues to inspire a new generation of music fans and aspiring DJs.

My name is Toby Hilden. I used to listen to this music at all night parties, now... it powers me through my long runs over the hilly streets of San Francisco.

To create these runner's mixtapes, I draw on musical influences deeply rooted in the progressive house music scene of Salt Lake City and San Diego circa 1992. I make my mixes for like minded soles who are motivated by the smooth beats of house, the pulse of electronic dance music... and like me, who are amused by 80's dancehall and nerd core.

 Considered one of the "Godfathers" of the Salt Lake City scene, he has been active in DJing, producing and promotion for more than 30 years. His beginning was when house music still was known by names like "New Beat", "Acid House", "Rave", "Hip House", & of course, "Techno". Originally he was known as "DJ Mechanized" and was the founder of Mechanized Records and later co-owner with  Kaskade(Ryan Raddon)in Salt Lake City where they both created and promoted and attended many of the first rounds of parties. He has played along side of most major US DJs and a grand host of international talent in 39 States and 3 Countries. He has releases on Sick Sounds and Mechanized Records, and more releases in the pipe works for the coming months. He prefers to play in a fusion style that blends breakbeat driven music (progressive breaks, glitch, nuskool, dubstep and old school funk)with traditional 4/4 dancefloor fare as the backbone of the set. He his a long and respected history playing House since the earliest days of the EDM movement. He has been DJing professionally since 1986, so he has plenty of practice behind the decks. His musical vision has been felt on dancefloors of every size and dimension, from headlining at 10,000 person music festivals, to playing to intimate crowds in exclusive club settings and occasional house parties & after parties. His earliest days in the House music movement had him as resident in some of the most influential clubs of the time, such as Playscool, where his weekly 6 hour sets gained a devout following. In the early 90s he became famed for his moving, beautiful and powerful sunrise sets at parties under the stars in seemingly endless deserts, on lakeside beaches, and up in wooded mountain clearings. In his production work he has spanned the breakbeat genres, especially glitchy breaks and some dubstep, although he is no stranger to creating hard-hitting house made for the dancefloor. In 2015, Chris is set to headline several events that highlights the timeless music that built the foundation of what the EDM evolved into. He has recently relocated to the city of Seattle, where he has wanted to  live since his first gigs there in 1993.
