The Alkove are a Cork band that blend rock, pop, blues, and soul to create truly original music. Influences include CCR, The Stones, Oasis, Bill Withers, Stevie Wonder, The Kinks and many more.

Touring and radio airplay - highlights:
•	Supported Aslan on the Cork leg of their “Feel No Shame” tour, Cork Opera House, 2018.
•	Supported Christy Dignam and Joe Jewell of Aslan in 2016&2017 at concerts raising funds for Indian children charity Flame Of Hope.
•	Headlined Soundhouse Dublin and Crane Lane Cork, Garageland Sessions.
•	Special non-redheaded guest at the Annual Redhead Convention, a festival that included Mary Coughlan. 
•	Headlined Sober Lane, ‘96/1 Festival’ held in Cork, where 96 bands from across the country played over one day at venues across the city.
•	Main Stage headliner, Liverpool FC Legends concert.
•	Other:  Headline slots at Monroes of Galway (main stage and back stage), Kavanaghs in Portlaoise, Courtney’s in   
         Killarney, Kilkenny and most Cork venues such as numerous headline slots in the Crane Lane. 

In summer 2019 we play the Kilkenny Outdoor Music Festival with HudsonTaylor and The Frank And Walters.
TV & Radio:
•	RTE: National League Sunday Finale, “This Ain’t Me”, closing credits.
•	The band’s music gets regular play on radio including REDFM, Highland Radio, KCLR TippFM, CUHFM. 
•	Live in studio interview/performances on REDFM, Highland Radio, and also CRY FM (creating CRYFMs biggest ever listenership figure)
