There is no denying that party’s and music go hand in hand and the top priority for Australia’s Bonka is just this – oh, with a few added bottles of Jager to ignite the situation! The duo made up of Lachlan and Connor is two flamingly excited DJ/producers who have been known to tear down walls in clubs & festivals upon the delivery of their slick main room and mashup wars on the frequent. Notably one of Australia’s most sought-after lords of mash-up, Bonka has it nailed with paragons like The Chainsmokers, Timmy Trumpet, Deorro, Tujamo, Mariana Bo, Showtek, Tiesto and more sprinkling their sets with a well infused Bonka lead while also owning their explosive live shows across the country.

With a catalogue signed to Revealed Recordings, Ministry of Sound, Rave Culture, Spinnin’ Records, Sony Music and the like; Bonka haven’t taken the stale ol’ road through electronic music but have instead aggressively taken their sound right to where it needs to be – on dance floors and in the playlists of fellow electronic icons. While proudly boasting 4x Billboard Mix/Airplay Top 5’s singles in the United States, their chart topping singles ‘Focus’ & ‘Chase’ both took out the top spot with a #1 placing in the ARIA Club Chart and saw their fair share of rotation across major Australian radio, while ‘Chase’ also took out #1 in the U.S. Media Base Charts being the most played dance record on American radio at the time of release. Not shy to international attention the duo are a staple in the prestigious Beatport charts, securing a plethora of #1 singles in their respective genres. Blazing the full musical empire for their fans, Bonka also blast out a monthly show ‘Let’s Go Bonkas’ featuring their own recipes alongside guest spots by A list DJ’s from around the globe which frequently takes out the #1 spot in the Australian iTunes Music Podcast Charts.

On the road with a fully loaded tour schedule, the aficionados set fire to venues across the globe and quite frankly very rarely see their own beds. From stages Australia wide to clubs and festivals across the globe it’s safe to say the Bonka party travels on no sleep, but the drinks best be on ice and the party at the ready.

You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".

The fourth full-length from BROODS, Space Island is an exploration of grief and all its many dimensions. In keeping with the New Zealand-bred duo’s unfettered imagination—an element they’ve brought to multiple platinum-and gold-certified records so far—the album’s 10 tracks exist in a surprisingly radiant sonic realm, its aesthetic equally inspired by ’60s sci-fi B-movies and the balmy exotica of composers like Les Baxter.The most high-concept output yet from BROODS—a ten-time New Zealand Music Award-winning act who’ve amassed over a billion streams to date, collaborated with the likes of Lorde and Tove Lo, toured with HAIM and Taylor Swift, and taken the stage at major festivals such asCoachella and Lollapalooza—Space Island came to life during a period of serious upheaval for lead vocalist Georgia Nott. Having married at the age of 21, she went through a difficult divorce soon after the release of BROODS’ previous album Don’t Feed the Pop Monster(a 2019 effort that led to appearances on“Late Night with Seth Meyers” and“The Late Late Show with James Corden”). As Georgia turned to songwriting as a means of processing her grief, she and her brother/bandmate Caleb Nott discovered an unlikely but wholly fitting vessel for that emotional outpouring: the album’s gorgeous constellation of otherworldly beats, swooning guitar tones, and effervescent synth lines. As a result, Space Island introduces a dazzling new intensity into BROODS’ atmospheric indie-pop while providing a powerful conduit for catharsis.
