'be Strong,

Written in January 2021 after nearly a year of Covid and lock downs when everyone was getting a little tired of it all, we needed something to look forward to.  I was just noodling about on my guitar and came up with the simple riff and the rest came naturally.

I’m looking forward to bluebells,
I’m looking forward to living well.

I’m looking forward to seeing my family,
I’m looking forward to meeting for coffee,
I’m looking forward to, holding my love,
And walking with her ‘neath the stars up above.

I’m looking forward to simple things,
I’m looking forward to hearing birds sing,
I’m looking forward to having friends round to stay,
I’m looking forward to going on holiday,

Looking Forward

I have been writing songs on and off over the last 30+ years. In that time I’ve filled a couple of exercise books with quite a bit of music. I do my best with a very simple recording set up, the songs are all recorded using my 29 year old Washburn guitar and GarageBand on my iPad with a cheap mic in my front room, usually with a cup of coffee. And some biscuits.
