Really great intro, wonderful guitar work to the solo vocal. Fab use of reverbs as well. All the songs of yours that ive listened to so far have a 60's early 70's feel to them with the addition of modern beats and synth sounds. Even your vocals have the vibe of CSNY but also newer bands like Fleet Foxes who themselves, delve back into the brilliant music of the past for inspiration. This is a lovely song man.

Wow!  Thank you so much Mr C for the wonderful comment!  Most of my songs are written with just my guitar and I record them without too much of a plan so they sort of “grow organically” so it’s great to know that I’m getting the ‘feel’ right 😄👍

Well I know how it feels to hurt,
Though I don’t claim to be an expert,
I’m not letting this make my heart inert,

So here am I in my beautiful prison.

Maybe it’s better to tend

Keep up with all of the friends I’ve known,

Wake Up World

I have been writing songs on and off over the last 30+ years. In that time I’ve filled a couple of exercise books with quite a bit of music. I do my best with a very simple recording set up, the songs are all recorded using my 29 year old Washburn guitar and GarageBand on my iPad with a cheap mic in my front room, usually with a cup of coffee. And some biscuits.
