Chris Woods was born into a musical family; his mother a violist and composer, his father a pianist and conductor. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, Chris has travelled the world as a violinist and composer. He has performed on many albums (Justin Timberlake, Black Eyed Peas) and films (The Lion King, Hidden Figures). He has arranged strings for several albums, including Christina Perri’s hit song “Jar of Hearts.” He recently composed for the trailer for Jordan Peele’s hit movie “Us.” His composition “Skyward Bound” was performed at the Guggenheim Museum with world famous dance troupe LXD, with whom he also performed with at the Ted conference along with his string quartet Quartetto Fantastico (Paul Cartwright, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Peter Jacobson). He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Laurann, his two boys Marshall and Sterling, dog Hank and turtle Lucy.
