Frankie Knuckles passed away on March 31st 2014 at 59 years old due to complications with diabetes. Frankie was considered the 'Godfather' of house music and his style is funky and soulful. Enjoy this curated selection of his work, courtesy of FLOOR⁴ #F2t4

"I try to live with a song before I go into the studio. I start to hear it in my sleep and a lot of the string and rhythm arrangements come to me. So when I get into the studio I know if I'm going to embellish the song or if I want to strip away everything except the vocals and reconstruct it." – Frankie Knuckles
