An ambient & "soundscaped" remix we did for the french singer Féloche. The original songs evokes the practise of silbo on the Gomera island. The Silbo Gomero, also known as el silbo ('the whistle'), is a whistled language spoken by inhabitants of La Gomera in the Canary Islands to communicate across the deep ravines and narrow valleys (gullies) that radiate through the island. El Silbo seems also to imitate the bird songs. From there, we imagined a kind of a dialogue between human, birds and nature.

Limbo (Cloud 99 Mix)

An instrumental meditation on moving forward when the path isn't clear.

Built from three sonic elements that mirror our current moment: a transformed vocal track becomes percussive foundation, finding rhythm in human imperfection - the pops, clicks, and wavering that make us real. A dissonant pad I created called "brackish water" flows through the middle ground, capturing that feeling of progress that doesn't go where you want it to, but where it needs to go.

Over this complexity, a bright lead doesn't fight against the tension but works with it, creating space for hope within difficulty. This isn't music that promises easy answers, but rather suggests that beauty emerges when we stop fighting our circumstances and start collaborating with them.

For moments when you need reminder that this pain can't last forever, and that even our mistakes can become the rhythm that carries us forward.

This track was originally composed as the commissioned music for a TV ad for BMW Germany. It made its debut on TV during the half-time ad-break in the UEFA Champions League Final. 

The LSO orchestra was conducted by Phillip Shepherd and recorded at Angel Studios in London, UK. I took the live orchestral recording and combined it with the band's music to create this piece.
