Way back from summer of 1994 ,heres a little gem i found in me car,its a set i done one night in the boardwalk @ the harp bar , this was a typical saturday night set with all the classics and some of my favorite tracks of all time,complete with crackles and all (not that bad) This was when 1210s were king and vinyl was the main man, enjoy the sound of Keno Flanagan from 94 ,,,ARM OUT THE WINDOW ALERT ....

01 - Casper- Shaft Classics Vol 2 Dec 2010

Shaft was quite simply Dublins foremost haven for the serious Clubber, tucked away just off Baggott Street in Dublin 4 it became the last port of call for all the people who knew about it. 

Shaft needed no advertisement or Flyers, Clubbers just know where it was, No 22 Ely Place.
Although now gone it is certainly not forgotten by anyone who was lucky enough to get in the Door, who could forget the lovely PJ and Derry and not for forgetting Big Noel and Michael who did the Door. 
These sets are a taster of what it was like back in the mid 90's @ one of Dublin's best underground clubs.

My essential mix was created with a sunrise set on the robot heart bus in mind out at Burning man, 2015. I played the actual set at BM pretty much the same time this mix was broadcast on Radio one. I like to imagine sometimes where the music will travel to. Who it will be given to or shared with. Whether it will be played at an after party in London or listened to on a set of headphones while watching the sun rise from behind a mountain in Tibet. I wonder which tracks you'll fall in love with instantly and which will grow on you as time passes. 

I know this is a really long mix and the journey into it and out the other side takes some commitment but, on the plus side, it saves you having to look for anything else to play for ages and ages.

 I hope you love the tracks as much as I do and thanks for listening.
