An artist who first came to prominence at the start of the decade, Covsky now returns to Meanwhile Horizons with the twin-track, “Zero Sum Game / Colour Theory” EP.

Hailing from the cosmopolitan city of Sydney, Sam Cooke has excelled within the progressive and organic house genres with his work for Sound Avenue, MNL and Musique de Lune. Hitting Beatport’s Organic House & Downtempo coveted number 1 spot with his 3-track “Space Walk” EP in September 2022, the rising Australian producer returns to Meanwhile Horizons, this time with a pair of progressive gems.

“Zero Sum Game” immediately supplies a head-shaking groove with an immaculately cadenced hi-hat top line and beautifully sculpted bassline groove. Subtle melodic sequences effortlessly filter into sonic range as they delicately entwine, sitting perfectly within the rhythmic and bass arrangement. Evolving toward the mid-point, copious amounts of reverb and delay create a rising tension before an open filter releases back down into the superb groove of earlier phases.

Partner track, “Colour Theory” continues the dynamic groove narrative with its complex percussive arrangement and dancefloor prowess. Evolving easily with its ever-increasing number of layered sounds, a delicate melodic flow is introduced courtesy of a buzzing sharp-edged synth line and glassy lead motif. Exquisitely conjuring synaesthesia in the listener’s mind eye through the breakdown, the introduction of pulsating crystalline pads in the latter stages adds further to the sonic collage.

A new aural diptych painted from a vivid palette sees Covsky provide another musical masterclass with his “Zero Sum Game / Colour Theory” EP.

Invited to showcase their talents for the 28th edition are Juan Lagisquet from Uruguay, Rinaudo from Argentina, AOVA from Mexico with his production partner Rama, also from Argentina.

Chris Cargo started his production career in the late 1990s, and has been at the forefront within the electronic music scene ever since. 
He is best known for his Progressive , Deep and Melodic House vibes.
Chris has released a wealth of gems (almost 200 productions) on seminal Progressive House labels: Mara’s ‘Choo Choo’, Renaissance, Automatic Records, Whoop, Armada Music and Kosmo not to mention an original artist album.
Chris has always gained consistent support for his many varied club releases from DJ giants such as Digweed, Cox, Cattaneo, Howells, Lawler, Warren and Garnier etc.
He is a multi talented DJ and producer who has regularly been on tour with Renaissance, Smirnoff, Tennents, Kent Tobacco and the like, many of which have seen Chris ply his wares on several large scale tours around China, USA, Russia and South America.
As a DJ, Chris has travelled the world wowing the crowds in Shanghai to Zurich, Amsterdam to Moscow, Kuala Lumpur to Paris docking in over 60 countries along the way including Siberia, Portugal, Kazakhstan, Finland, France, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Malaysia, China, Mexico.
In addition, his music has appeared on many compilations such as Renaissance, Intec, Seb Fontaine,Danny Howells, Valentino Kanzyani, Anthony Pappa, Slinky, Priviledge-Ibiza, Global Underground and has had major BBC Radio 1 plays and multiple reviews in publications such as  Mixmag & DJ Magazine.
A host of new productions for labels such as The Soundgarden, Plattenbank, FSOE UV, ICONYC, Soundteller Recordings, Sprout Music, Fall From Grace & Mango Alley and his own If You Wait Music to name just a few, with 2 Beatport Hype chart number one’s it’s easy to see why he has seen been described as one of the “genre’s original innovators” by Progressive Astronaut, a “pioneer of Progressive House” by Change Underground and “a legend” by Release Promo.
With hard work, passion and support from the industry's most revered names, Chris Cargo has some unfinished business and aims to prove that this pillar of the Progressive House scene still has  lot to give.
