We’re excited to present a new synthpop project called Facit, via our sublabel Cititrax. Facit is the brainchild of Joakim Karlsson hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, who also released under Jocke & Elliot back in 2010. Featuring both Karlsson and the lovely Mai Nestor on vocals, Facit is quintessential melancholic Swedish wave at its finest. Exquisitely produced, the Mat Åt Duvorna EP is a minimal synth wave gem, drawing some inspiration from French Chanson as well. The EP is pressed on 160 gram milky clear vinyl, the first 300 copies feature a black haze on the vinyl. The total run of this release is limited to 999 copies

Minimal Wave is thrilled to present a long-awaited LP showcasing previously unreleased gems from the influential UK duo, Vicious Pink. Originating from a serendipitous encounter in a smoky Leeds nightclub back in 1979, Josephine Warden and Brian Moss embarked on a musical journey that would redefine the synth-pop landscape. Initially known as Vicious Pink Phenomena, they made their mark by providing distinctively off-kilter backing vocals for their friends in Soft Cell a collaboration that unfolded organically and without rehearsal.
Transitioning to the simplified moniker Vicious Pink, the duo continued to captivate audiences with their avant-garde sound, releasing a string of singles that defied conventional expectations and climbed the UK dance charts between 1982 and 1986. Despite their modest intentions, their music proved to be both artful and provocative, leaving an enduring legacy in the annals of electronic music history.
‘Unexpected’ offers listeners a glimpse into the duo’s creative process, compiling pop experiments recorded spontaneously, some in collaboration with Dave Ball. Each LP is housed in a deluxe glossy heavyweight sleeve, featuring captivating artwork that reflects the essence of Vicious Pink’s sonic universe. Limited to 999 copies, pressed on high-quality 160-gram Coke bottle clear vinyl, this release promises to be a collector’s dream.
Included with every LP, is a 5” x 7” postcard adorned with an exclusive, unpublished photograph of Brian, Jose, and Dave, providing fans with a personal memento of this remarkable musical journey. Release date: May 21st, 2024. Get ready to discover the magic of Vicious Pink in ‘Unexpected.’

Here at Moontown we have been fans of Brisbanes Laura Hill (Scraps) since discovering her 7" Secret Paradise on Disembraining Machine back in 2012. From there we moved back and forth through her discography and even brought her to Canberra a few times ~ Needless to say we had become intrigued, obsessed and addicted to the mysterious world of SCRAPS.

TTNIK (pronounced Titanic) is her latest full length, its a hard one to pin down - Call it club music with luscious cosmic sunburn ~ Addictive, playful and sludgy synth pop that works just as well in a club setting as it does booming through the walls of a dilapidated weatherboard queenslander on a steamy afternoon.

It is an absolute pleasure and honour to be releasing SCRAPS latest album TTNIK through Moontown ~ We hope you enjoy just as much as we do.

Le Sabbat is a playful and sensual piece from Des litres d'essence EP, featuring vocals of Louis and grabbing your deepest parts of heart. This is a boundless music with attitude, capable of making us drift off and disrupt in equal measure, as well as smoothly leading us to the later hours of the dance floor.
Des litres d'essence will come out on Knekelhuis later this month.
