House Party January 2024 Part 1

It’s been a while since my last podcast, but I’m ready with a new one to kick off the summer. Vol. 14 is a two-hour journey that starts with nu-disco and then builds gradually to a full dance floor house music frenzy - it turns into a groove set in the middle before bringing it back around to some soulful sounds and finally ending with some more chill tech house to wrap up the journey. 

There are a few new tracks from some of my favorite producers on here that I love so much and can’t wait to highlight in sets this summer, including Sam Divine’s “Saved By The Record,” Wh0’s “Sunglasses,” and Earth n Days’ “Stronger”... Illyus & Barrientos’ homage to Vicki Sue Robinson - “VSR” (sampling “House Of Joy”) - gives me chills it’s so good.

House Is A Feeling (Vol. 14 | May 2k24)

Another super fun pool party in my hometown ATL! This time I got to team up with my new DJ buddy DJTylerSimz! It's always more fun sharing the love of House music with a friend :)

This is a portion of our six hour set we put together for this event. Big shoutout to our hosts Scott and Mark. What a beautiful home and space to experience all of this.

And of course all the love to everyone that came out and vibes with us. Your energy is so important to us as artists so thank you all for the love.

Razor N Guido have always been an inspiration to me, and their records made me want to become a better producer. They were the Kings of the New York Hard House sound at the turn of the Millennium, but their musical talents went far beyond that, both collectively and individually.

I met Guido in 1999, already a fan of his and his partner Razor. Guido was more incredibly warm and genuine than I would have ever imagined, especially for someone that was creating such aggressive music. He instantly welcomed me into the New York "crew" and introduced me to everyone as a peer. He is one person in the dance music scene that I have never heard a bad thing said about. 

His talents and charming personality will be missed.
