Lyles Hints Doughty (born September 11, 1992) better known as LHD is a (23 year old) American recording artist from the Leesburg Rd. area of Hopkins, South Carolina. He grew up rapping and writing poetry at a young age, and was never afraid to showcase his talents to anyone. Throughout the early years of his life he recorded music however possible just to be heard, and to practice mastering his craft. With his slightly older cousins who also wrote music pushing him to sharpen his writing skills to pursue a career as a rapper. He learned the keys to making songs by writing what he sees around him and what he feels. They all became better artist together he and his cousins  over the years. One of them in particular SLIP, who has had the biggest influence on him to date. They still collaborate, work together and share the same aspirations in music still. In his early high school years he and his friends would post songs on the Internet for his peers, and hearing the good feedback inspired him to do more with his music. After releasing his first project "Lyrically Inclined" which was hosted by local radio personality H-Dub host for Hot 103.9, he knew this was what he wanted out of life. It was released back on April 21st 2011 and made a statement in the city for local artist. It was produced by 40oz. a well known producer in Charleston, South Carolina who has won multiple South Carolina DJ Awards, and worked with many artist across the state. LHD's lyrics were something the city hadn't seen before, and made him standout differently amongst artist around him. The mixtape "Lyircally Inclined" had a very positive turn out and presented some great opportunities. Shortly after graduating high school in 2011, he felt the need to take a small break on making music to focus on school and other responsibilities in his life, but still recording music when possible. As of 2014 to this moment he is back on the grind, with a whole new mindset and feel to his music. Showing off his lyrical skills putting out freestyles and tracks on media sites like soundcloud.com gearing up for his next project. Its been 5yrs since his last body of work, but he feels "you cant lose something God gave you." Since then, he's gained fans, dropped guest verses and left the people wanting more. His new project "TheRealLHD" released March 25th this year. With great music all the way throughout. Fearuring great local artist like his cousin SLIP and DonGold. So, expect more new LHD music to come...and even more exciting things on the way.
