Once upon a time, during a lovely little Christmas evening, Elic‘s grandma‘ had a couple shots of hard cider too many, grabbed her old guitar and started to do things with it, that we cannot and do not want to talk about any further. 
However, these moments have changed Elic‘s life more than wasted special aid courses.
So, his grandmother took the guitar, which was totally out of tune, and played some of the most ridiculous tunes since the invention of the VHF radio. 
From this moment on, Elic knew he had to grow up to become just as outstanding as his grandmother.
Good old grandmother White played a mix of deep, analogue, funky, up-beat, pumping sounds and it remained in Elic‘s ear forever, just like a great-sounding tinnitus.
A couple years later, Elic played along with some famous artist and some not so famous artist in various cities around this lovely planet. We could probably talk about them a lot more, for example how he played in Hollywood, Berlin, Vienna and many other villages around the globe but we should not waste time in this biography. We are deeply sorry.
He, just like every other Austrian, actually was born on a little farm in the mean and cold mountains of Austria. Some call the town he was born in K-Town a.k.a. Klagenfurt.
Well, since he did not just want to play music produced by other people, he actually decided to take a 1,5 long hour accordion lesson from his Christian nursery school teacher. He knew he was now ready to produce quality electronic music.  A few months later, his first EP was out and you can go and buy the piece of art at Beatport. Do him a favour and make him even richer.
Well, let‘s be honest; this biography is so convincing and meaningful that you should go up to Elic while he is playing at a gig and ask him to read it out loud to you while you‘re both drinking overpriced orange juice mixed with ice cubes.

Michael „MAI-KEL“ Zajc was born in beautiful Carinthia, the Austrian Riviera, in the year of 1986. As son of parents which are stoke into music, it is music that accompanies him from his early ages. With the years „MAI-KEL“ finds his way into Funk, Soul & Acid-Jazz. This kind of music build a huge connection between father & son.

At the age of 16 he first tried to be a „Disc-Jockey“ at his fathers bar. In this little town, where no one has heard something about HOUSE or CLUBMUSIC before, he tried to establish this kind of music at the age of 18. After a hard start „MAI-KEL“ integrated himself & this „new“ music into the „little-city-nightlife“.

Because he always felt loyal to his father he did not have this broad experience of deejaying somewhere else. 

But NOW his time has come. „MAI-KEL“ serves you an intoxicating mix of different genres of House-Music & Funk-Soul-Acid-Jazz-Sounds to rock the crowd.

„MAI-KEL’s“ motto is „MUSIC is LIFE ... and ... LIFE should be FUN“ ... this message is being spread with every set he plays.

Michael „MAI-KEL“ Zajc wird im Jahre 1986 in das wunderschöne Kärnten, der österreichischen Riviera, hineingeboren. Als Sohn musikbegeisterter Eltern begleitet ihn Musik von der ersten Stunde seines Hörens & Denkens. Mit fortschreitendem Älterwerden findet „MAI-KEL“ erstmals den Weg, weg vom Mainstream hin zu Funk, Soul & Acid-Jazz. Dieses Musik verbindet Vater und Sohn bis heute.

Mit 16 Jahren versucht er sich das erste Mal als „Disc-Jockey“, in der Bar seines alten Herren. Dort, in einer Kleinstadt welche noch nie etwas von Clubmusik gehört hat, versuchte er mit 18 Jahren eben diese zu etablieren. Und nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten mit der Stammkundschaft hatte er sich und diese „neue“ Musik vollkommen in das „Little-City-Nightlife“ integrieren können.

Nachdem er sich seinem Vater gegenüber immer sehr loyal gefühlt und verhalten hat, nahm er sich kaum die Freiheit auch wo anders aufzulegen. Außer einigen kleinen Gigs kann er leider noch nicht mit vielen Geschichten aufwarten. 

Doch nun ist seine Zeit gekommen. „MAI-KEL“ spielt heute einen mitreißenden Mix aus den verschiedensten House-Genres & Funk-Soul-Acid-Jazz-Sounds um die Crowd so richtig zu rocken.

„MAI-KEL’s“ Motto lautet: "MUSIC is LIFE ... and ... LIFE should be FUN“ ... diese Botschaft versucht er stets mit jedem seiner Sets zu verbreiten.
