Hi, I am a songwriter based in the UK. 

I have a wide spectrum of styles but the common threads running through all my songs are strong melodies and strong lyrical content: the combination of the words and the hooks is everything to me. 

I'm also a big fan of harmonies - this comes for my admiration for country and pop music, adding sugar to poignant lyrics. Don't believe in meaningless samey words, I strive to give a different twist in every story so that if people just want to sing along with the melodies, that's fine but if they choose to look a little deeper, there is an added bonus for them which doesn't detract from the 'tune' – rather it adds another layer of interest.

The Slow Show have both a magisterial beauty to their songs and the confidence to let their spellbinding stories find their mark. Rarely since The Blue Nile has a band created such a powerful, fully realised world from what initially appears such a minimal framework.
