The song features polyrhythms, something I've never tried before.
All sounds are created from manipulated piano and electric piano sounds.

Violet's Gone - The Poet (initial studio mix - more work to be done)

Recorded in one evening, using only a Squier Jagmaster guitar. A strangely optimistic tune for me that I've named after a childrens book.

Acoustic guitar version of an original song - normally played on the harmonium.  Performed infront of a small crowd at this years Umbrella Festival. Was a cool event.

Been taking on the task of sifting through my dads home recordings the last few nights in search of a song and came across this track again. It was very experimental for him but still shows off his Hank Marvin inspired style and a willingness to play. I remember the 4-track cassette machine taking up the whole dining room on occasions while he toyed with a small casio keyboard to make backing tracks...a real inspiration. When I 1st started messing around with my own 4-track, making up strange effects laden instrumentals, he played me this one, and I wonder where I get it all from.

I'm Chris Fordham, a 32 year old multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter. I'm currently writing and recording my own songs and performing the occasional gig around the county and further afield.
