The new single from Italy's psych-pop sextet @the-quincey is this year’s bittersweet anthem of the summer, a groovy, existentialist Yacht-Rock number that will blast from sports cars and radios on beaches all over Europe — tops popped, drowning out the sound of the waves and seagulls.

The band has created a masterpiece of vintage, lightly psychedelic 70s Pop-Rock, with an opening guitar riff so crushingly catchy it'll stay with you for a good while.

Guai — in Italian, trouble — is upbeat and easy on the ears, while the lyrics delve deeply into issues such as hope and loss, and catching and not catching the waves of life as they roll by. 
The first single off the band’s second EP from France's finest Indie Pop pushers Nice Guys Records, the band kicked it into high gear by producing an ambitious, mind-altering music video to accompany the track.

What better way then to present one of the best kept secrets out there, MLiR aka Modern Life Is Rubbish this time joined by Arnau Obiols, a multi-instrumentalist producer from Barcelona, who has some big upcoming releases under his moniker Velmondo. 

After making a serious impact with their remarkable 'Swedish Lo-Life' and 'Trans-World Junktion', on fellow Swedish label Studio Barnhus, we're thrilled to have MLiR and Arnau onboard together for our 100th release on Local Talk. 

Yes, that is correct, we're celebrating the big 100. Since the very beginning we've covered everything from the deeper shades of house to, the jackin' and the gritty house, released some slower BPMs and also the uplifting, vocal and organic house. As you probably noticed - we love it all. 

The 100th release main track 'Lajbans' is one of those sublime tunes that is bridging the gap between all styles of dance music; it's epic and manages to offer plenty of subtle details to keep you locked for the full 9 minute experience.
