On August 9, 2011 the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) aired an interview with West Indian writer, broadcaster, and civil liberties campaigner Darcus Howe concerning the London riots. The “on the street” interview positioned Howe in the foreground with a burnt out building and fire truck in the background. Howe, when attempting to give context to the riots specifically about the treatment of West Indian youth, was continually interrupted and the BBC interviewer who, through her questioning, not only mispronounced his name but also represented Howe as being an active agent in the violence associated with the riots.

CHASSOL - Oddisi - YUKSEK remix

This is an amalgam of two mixes I did for Solid Steel at the end of November, 2013. Both were 30 minutes and with a similar downbeat, electronic nature. It's the sort of thing I like to listen to late at night when I'm working on designs or writing. Both appeared on separate shows but were done around the same time so I wanted to present them in one piece like this.

"the explanation for the track list is actually quite easy… especially the air liquide tune and also scan x are both super old tracks that followed me around since i was a kid… they never lost their fascination and have the same effect after all the years that they had… i think it's fun to combine that the soulless cold of something like annti rannisto or the eerie conet project coldwar recordings with something so touching and perfect like arvo pärt or stuart dempster… both styles are reduced to their very core and therefore only using whats needed to pinch the listeners sense… like this death blow from kill bill :D … just a couple of tiny yet effective attacks will make your heart stop… i personally bow down before these artists to give us the possibility to execute a mixtape like this…"
