For the past two decades Rígur Lárus, formerly known as Rui, has been exploring and finding the essence behind various straightforward genres. From Trance to Techno and everything in between. Always in search for that specific trance feeling and storytelling in music.

Growing up as the youngest of four siblings, he acquired a matured music taste rather quickly and this propelled him into the late 90’s trance scene. Highly inspired by the Magik Mix Series he started mixing with vinyl. The storytelling in this mix series, to this day, is unheard of and still the foundation & inspiration for the music Rígur Lárus selects for his mixtapes today.

Timeless and ever effective melodies, found in various styles, is what distinguishes his mixtapes. Making them a crossover blend of various styles from older & new Progressive, Deep House to Melodic Techno. Discovered in different places and with that specific trance feel and emanating old sounds that marked him as a teenager. 

At one point Rígur Lárus took a three year hiatus to start selling vinyl as Troost Records, for the love of vinyl. Sending various House genres all over the world. Making people happy with the older sounds, because people really need to know where it all started, as part of music education.

The start of ‘17 he reignited his passion for making mixtapes for smaller audiences on Soundcloud. Aptly titled Make Mixtakes, always striving for the perfect blend with some raw edgy mixing. Rígur Lárus could never leave the unanswered feeling of passion for melodic music in the past. Therefore making him determined to be heard today with his unique sound, aged in the barrel of life. An acquired taste.

Miroslav Ecker caller by his nick name  DJ EKG was born in Nitra (Slovakia) , where his musical and resident activities began. 
His started his first sets in 1998
We date his professional career since 2003, when as a resident of a small club he started to discover the secrets of djing. 

He is well know for his unique daily projects Sunset Boulevard .
Miro also hosted three residencies in the clubs Ministry Of Fun / Banská Bystrica and Epic Club Prague. Also a residency at the summer event space Motel Kamenec.
He kicked off at 2015 with his own performance “EKG Solo” (Bratislava - Wakelake)  . 
The project is famous because his exclusive 12 hrs set...
In 2020, EKG begins to organize sets at Slovakian castles, and so far the project took place in the largest castle in Central Europe from the 12th century Spiš Castle.

DJ EKG vlastnym menom Miroslav Ecker sa narodil v Nitre,kde zacalo aj jeho hudobne a rezidentne posobenie. Jeho profesionalnu karieru datujeme od roku 2003, kde ako rezident maleho clubu zacal objavovat tajomstva djingu. Uz v tom case vynikal jeho energicky hudobny prejav,charizma a dynamicka selekcia trackov. Dopomohla k tomu aj dlhodoba djska cesta od mixovania vinylov az po aktualne pouzivanie digitalnej platformy Pioneer.



Jeho sety su zanrovo pestre,pevnou a zaroven citlivou rukou pocas nich dokaze odprezentovat soundy,ktore ho aktualne oslovuju, ako ako vzdat hold nadcasovym trackom ci potesit parket ziadanymi hitmi. Napriek tomu vsak nesklzne k poplatnosti publiku a set ma pevny a zmysluplny vyvin a smer.

Za dve dekadu svojho posobenia na scene dokazal viac uspechov.

Ako jediny na Slovensku odprezentoval svoj oficialny djsky rekord. V roku 2015 predstavil projekt EKG Solo,kde odohral nepretrzity dvanasthodinovy set a táto párty v roku 2021 oslavuje siedmu edíciu.

Jeho vystúpenia sú (aj keď zdanlivo nezlučiteľným) spojením nekompromisného diktátu a citlivej interaktivity s davom. V jednom okamihu ťa valcuje nespútaná energia, aby ťa hneď v nasledujúcom zaliala vlna emócií, preto chce chce ponúknuť iný pohľad na párty a pozdvihnúť ju na úroveň zážitku.

EKG patrí dlhodoby k najvyhľadávanejším djom na Slovensku. Svedčia o tom aj rezidentné noci v clube Ministry Of Fun / Banská Bystrica a Epic Club Praha. Taktiež rezidentúra na letnom eventovom priestore Motel Kamenec.

Od roku 2017 sa po skúsenostiach pretransformoval aj do role promotéra a event managera,ktoré využíva na rôznych multizánrových podujatiach
V roku 2017 zakladá Miro projekt Sunset Boulevard,ktorým vzhliada k ostrovu Ibiza a dokazuje,že denné hrania budú  budúcnosť na Slovensku.

Slnko svieti na každého rovnako je mottom tohto projektu a jeho základom je hrať na netradičných a výnimočných miestach po Slovensku. UFO Restaurant v Bratislave, Rotunda Jasná odšartalovali sériu Sunsetov a zadefinovali tak pojem sunset event.
V roku 2020 EKG začína s organizovaním týchto setov aj po hradoch na Slovensku a zatiaľ najväčší projekt sa odohral na najväčšom hrade v strednej Európe z 12.storočia Spišský hrad. K nemu sa pridal aj hrad v Kežmarku.

DJ EKG definuje svoj sound ako zmes progresívnych tanečných prvkov s vokálmi a energickými beatmi.
