On a serious note, it's probably my ears being more sensitive but the crackling noises in Case's voicebank bothered me a lot when making this cover. I've genuinely tried everything to fix it from using the optimal flags, anti-distortion, lower the breathiness, any other flags that could help, but it just wouldn't go away so I had to go with this. If you don't hear the crackling noise, then phew, no worries. I did experiment with other resamplers to see if it would go away, but all of them had worse results than moresampler.

Anyways, I wanted to give Case a more aggressive tone when singing and I think the powerful tone does fit him since his actual real life singing IS powerful. I also made his voice slightly deeper because blah blah blah, I like deeper vocals.

The song kinda gave off Neru vibes because of the lyrics' condescending tone, something to do with online stuff, and the original singer is Teto soooooooo....

I wanted this Rin English voicebank worth having instead of just testing it for one song and then never again.

I think lower pitched Rin is a better voice for Neru because high pitched Miku is literally just... Miku? I mean there's also Rikka and KAFU, which are pretty unique choices, but I don't have their banks. I frankly don't wanna Engrish my way out with Rikka nor KAFU, it will just sound weird and unsatisfying to me.

I'm doing a slightly different tuning style with Vocaloid, because honestly I think my pitchbends are kinda getting lackluster so I tweaked things up a bit in the editor. I wanted to use those effects in the Vocaloid6 editor since I find them fun and experimental, and wanted to use an effect that could make Neru sing stronger.

I even tried to incorporate Neru's phone into this cover since hey, it is pretty iconic to her and it what makes Neru, y'know, Neru. I don't have the exact sound but it's close enough and the original sound honestly kinda hurts my ears.

I wanted to practice in covering Vocaloid songs with multiple voicebanks again, take the opportunity in using Miku V4X Solid because that's my most favored voicebank type for Miku, and try making English VBs like ASTERIAN sing in Japanese.

I know that there's a multilingual setting for SynthV Pro but I only have the Lite version and I can't really afford that.

Oh yeah, I attempted to make the song cleaner without making it feel empty (hopefully?) but I'm unable to change the lyrics since, y'know, I don't know Japanese very well and even if I tried, it will sound like weird weeb garbage.

People weren't kidding when they said that this song was difficult to cover. Not only you have to take note of the voicebanks, but also who sings which part, the amount of harmonies, and the dreadful process of attempting to imitate the rap sections. I genuinely tried on those parts, please believe me.

For once, I had to use someone's UST just to get the song right, but I only used it as a base so I can add my own tuning, mixing and other things. The piano midi reference was still a huge help but it didn't have the results I wanted in some points. I really suck at recreating harmonies in songs.

On a serious note, I reconfigured my English ARPA bank and hopefully it's actually usable now? I dunno, it sounds a bit glitchy but I tested the song with other English ARPAsing banks and they seem to have the same results, so I'll just assume what I have is a viable oto. I know I mispronounced some phonemes but I'm honestly lazy to fix them and I don't wanna go through that again so you're gonna have to deal with my UTAU sometimes singing in a strange accent.

That pretty much concludes RiriUtaphel ACT2. Basically a more improved version of my bank and is able to speak in Japanese and English.
