Showcasing the label’s remit while reminding us just how sharp he is in the studio, across two tracks Chris.SU has created a special vibe that hints at a very promising future for Fate… And he’s done so with two old sonic compatriots – Mira and State Of Mind.

Following their critically acclaimed work together on last year’s ‘Higher’, ‘Together In The Night’ sees Chris recruit the stunning vocals of Mira once again. His constant output of critically acclaimed work, over nearly twenty years, has contained some of the biggest tracks this genre has ever spawned. Both sides of this release are already instantly recognisable to most discerning and non-discerning fans and both will no doubt become future classics, just as you might anticipate from Dom's first Metalheadz outing.

'Unofficial Jah' draws inspiration from Goldie's ground-breaking seminal 1995 album 'Timeless'. Crafting the recognisable elements toward a direction that perfectly fits the track's title. “We’ll See” is a collab with Bristol-based companion, Break.  The pair have joined forces again after the success of their last collaboration, “Murmur”. The result is simply stunning and the duo deliver a neck-snapping monster of epic proportions. Despite the mysterious track name, it’s a devilishly lethal concoction; combining the immense talents of two of the scene’s most respected producers. 

Carrying equally destructive prowess, DLR continues on a solo tip into the B-side with “Tugboat”. The use of space in this hard stepper provides the perfect antidote to its predecessor’s intensity. The track is introduced with haunting atmospherics and ultra-tight drums. An enchanted bass is released gradually throughout the track, mischievously swinging amongst the elements; injecting a real technical funk into the track in a distinctive DLR style! 

Finally we leave you with the experimental musicality and funk of “Delusion”, a late but freshly made addition to this release as an exclusive digital track.

Born atop the forgotten ruins of a crumbling city, a new civilization had emerged from the ruin wrought by demonkind upon the landscape that lay beneath them. Lead by their prophets of a new and powerful faith, the people of this civilization had risen up against the demon kings, wielding the magic of their divine allies as weapons with which to exorcise their being once more from the land. This war though hard fought had born fruit, and with the slaying of the final demon the people had rejoiced, celebrating their victories with monumental constructions to mark the beginning of a new and golden era. Foremost of these was the great cathedral that lay at the heart of their new city, built both as a space of worship for the populace and as an eternal ward of imprisonment for the souls of demonkind which could not be slain, forever condemning them to an incorporeal existence under the watchful eye of the divine.

Ages had passed since then, and time had once again ground its steady edge against the minds of the people and upon the stones and timbers that had supported the great city for so long. Ritual had been forgotten, and structures of greater grandeur had been built as the city expanded, relegating it’s once monumental cathedral to neglect. Thus it was that the falling of only a single candle had lit an aged timber in it’s great hall, in so doing weakening the ancient wards that had kept the demonic spirits at bay. Ever vigilant in their ceaseless desire to escape, the demon kings fanned this flame with their focused ire, nurturing it from a single mote into a overwhelming conflagration that tore at the runic chains that had bound them for so long. Before long, the roaring of the flames was augmented by the howls of demonic spirits set free from a millennia of imprisonment, their visages taking form in the fire as manifestations of their burning rage. As the inferno bellowed ever higher, the city cowered in fear, for it was clear that the time of DIVERGENCE had come once more.

EATBRAIN unleashes the full fury of their horde with the fourth installment in their DIVERGENCE compilation series, a gargantuan 26 track compilation filled to the brim with new tracks from EATBRAIN mainstays and newcomers alike. Brought together by their affinities for EATBRAIN’s unrestrained neurofunk sound, the artists within deliver a tour de force of the label’s guiding philosophy with ferocious basslines and terrifying sonic atmospheres alike, delivering a mammoth series of tracks set to inspire the fervor of the label’s horde in the months to come.

The Darrow Chem Syndicate has decided to venture off into the land of Drum & Bass with their latest release. This is not unfamiliar territory by any means. Chris.SU gives us 2 tracks on this EP. First we have The Eaters, a track that starts off dark and eerie and then tries to tear your face off with its heavy tech-step feel. Secondly, he gives us something from the polar opposite in, For Tortoise. It is a liquid style drum and bass tune that is filled with deep bass and melodic synth lines. Two tunes that should be in any serious DnB dj’s crate.

Nipponeer Records being based in Tokyo, Japan; was founded by Hiroshi Fukuma in 2003. This is the 103rd release of the label, while the first EP came out in 2009 - aiming to reach a place of solely ageless and quality music, where time has got no dimension.

Much time had passed since the uprising of the demon kings had sprung forth from the ancient obelisk, bringing ruin to the great city that had been built around it. Yet more had passed since humanity had lost their homeworld to these malevolent creatures, who poured out from the monument with no other desire than to torture, pillage, and destroy. For years, all-out war had raged on the Earth’s surface and yet for all of humanity’s most valiant efforts, the killing of one demon had begotten only the rising of two more. In their final hour, those scant few who survived had fled to the stars, abandoning the wreckage of their beloved home. It was there that they maintained an uneasy existence above it, one tied to the sanctuary of a handful of meager orbital stations scattered amidst their solar system.

It was from these stations that they now watched in horror as a great celestial body rapidly entered their domain, its surface scarred by gargantuan visages of suffering and despair that protruded from its surface. As it neared the abandoned remains of their homeworld, the gravity well of the hellish sphere sucked its shattered pieces almost instantaneously inward as though feeding the horrific faces that marred its ochre hide. Though sound permeated not through the vacuum of space, the minds of all those who watched were split by a psychic scream of pleasure that emanated forth from the planet as though it were a living being. Then, as though sated by the life it had consumed, it began to drift back beyond the bounds of their solar system, completing the cycle of DIVERGENCE once more.

His EP for Invisible offers a range of moods and flavours. The opening expanses of 'Discovery', the first of two tracks produced with fellow-Ukrainian Sunchase, lead you in gently offering muted bass sounds and juddering sound FX. 'Mangup' also features Sunchase, and here the pair take you deep into an epic off-world experience. Chanting vocals are offset with sharp breakbeats and digital crunches of bass that create an inevitable and irresistible tension.

Sides C and D see Nickbee team up with Malk. Firstly the duo deliver the sci-fi horror of 'Alien', a track that's deserving to share the title of Ridley Scott's intensely chilling film of the same name, followed by the hauntingly beautiful 'Cosmos', another perfectly put together piece of drum & bass that sticks two futuristic fingers up at the usual dance floor fodder.

Signing to Ram Records, Calyx & TeeBee have produced a long player that sounds fresh, current and forward-thinking. ‘All Or Nothing’ is their sophomore offering and is packed with new ideas, exciting collaborations, stunning musicality and an incredible level of technical skill. 

From the epic opening gambit, ‘Heroes & Villains’, it’s clear that Calyx & TeeBee have created something special with their new album. The D&B jazz fusion of ‘Pure Gold’ ft. Kemo contrasts beautifully with the vocal-led minimalism of ‘Strung Out’ and the hip hop excellence of ‘We Become One’, a collaboration with Foreign Beggars and DJ Craze. Then Calyx & TeeBee hit you with the rock-influenced ‘You’ll Never Take Me Alive’ featuring Beardyman, providing yet another inspired piece of deliciously different drum & bass. Each track on ‘All Or Nothing’ is crafted with expert precision and infused with a fresh and unique set of influences.
