CHRISTA WELLS // Waiting For The Night

Known for her haunting vocals and poignant lyricism, Christa writes piano-based folk-pop music. Her performance style can swing between the sultry tones of A Fine Frenzy and the more robust Florence & The Machine, but when she takes it down to piano-vocal arrangements, you'll hear the influence of Sarah McLachlan and Over The Rhine.

She was named Songwriter of the Year in 2006 for her song "Held" which was a career-making single for Natalie Grant. She also cowrote Plumb's hit singles "Need You Now" and "God Help Me" as well as Ellie Holcomb's "Red Sea Road" and "Stronger."

Christa lives in Nashville, TN.
