The Church is the place where God’s table is. There is inexhaustible richness to the table, which the Bible illustrates as food for the present journey, a celebration of a past victory, and a feast of future hope. The Church is where that meal is served. Jesus entrusted this meal to his Bride, the Church.

Fr. Scott concludes a four-part sermon series. In each one, an Old Testament prophecy is fulfilled in Jesus who then passes it on to the Church. 
This week, the prophecy from Ezekiel 47:1-12, of healing waters flowing from the Temple, is fulfilled when blood and water flow from the side of Jesus after his death on the cross (John 19: 16b-18; 31-37.) In that moment, Jesus gave two sacraments to the Church - the Eucharist (blood) and baptism (water), and now the healing that was promised in Ezekiel and enacted by Jesus is available to everyone through the Church.
