The album Harmonic Dreams evolved from the live music events termed as my Harmonic Sound Immersion™  experiences and I chose a few core ideas to create this 4 track EP. Each piece features an instrument integral to my sound baths, performed and recorded for each unique, evolving soundscape. 

Face of Things features my Music as Metaphor™ branded singing bowls; As Above juxtaposes Koshy chimes with electronic ones; September Rain features an indigenous flute; and Light Years Away utilizes her gong. The resulting album however differs from the HSI experience in that it is less subtle and whispered; more vibrant and energized. The beautiful art work is based on a painting by Rebecca Ruegger titled Shallow Water. Harmonic Dreams is published by Music as Metaphor.

The sons and daughters of the Lunar Pitris, the last beings of the Moon Chain, The Polarians were the first non physical beings to inhabit the first great continent on this current Earth Globe in times beyond ancient and human record. Polaris is the second track from the concept album Seven. An improvised ambient landscape recreating musically the lands in the far north that hosted the Polarian Race

From the forthcoming album  'Seven'. Seven is a concept album based around the theory of the cosmic and esoteric evolution of the planet Following the story of the seven races and their existence on seven continents, past, present and yet to come.
This track was recorded in October 2018

As described by Kerry Barnes: "I’m now in heaven. A peaceful, gentle, sun-kissed ice-dance.Even more beautiful is the fact that Christel has decided to ‘tie over the bar line’ beats 3 & 1 of the left hand. Now this gives the piece a ‘suspended in air’ feel which lends much lightness and grace. I can’t help but notice some gorgeous French twists here and there and a divine sprinkling of Ravel ( 2nd mvt of piano concerto)......I think I would love to be compared with the French genius!! Chilling and stunning, is the way I would describe the right hand melody, with a simplistic and sparse beauty that transcends words, really. Use of ‘pianissimo’ is expertly applied, especially in the dying arctic embers of the closing diminuendo, gentle chordal punctuations, softly spoken."

Composer, musician and singer Christel Veraart finds the core of her inspiration in the many cultures she has experienced while living and working in various parts of the world. Her music has featured internationally in film, dance and stage productions, and was broadcast nationally and internationally. 

Her latest album Pleiades was awarded with the 2020 Best Ambient Album of the Year. Hired by Google to write the music for one of their Google Doodles, Christel’s compositions range from solo and small ensemble to large orchestra, drawing on a wide variety of musical and cultural influences and include sound design as well. Her music is described as ambient, meditative, avant-garde classical.
