Toronto Is Broken's highly-anticipated self-titled album is a groundbreaking fusion of Nu-Metal and EDM that bridges the gap between two seemingly disparate worlds, creating a unique and exhilarating sound that will resonate with fans of both. Featuring appearances from Sebotage, REEBZ, Fight The Fade, Lateral, and Natty Lou, TORONTOISBROKEN immerses fans in a world of the macabre taking inspiration from French horror cinema. The album captures the essence of extreme horror, immersing listeners in a chaotic and high-energy soundscape that is both brutal and intense.

TIB worked closely with REEBZ and Sebotage on the album wanting it to appear as a band effort. He explains, "I wanted it to feel like a band effort, with the same people throughout with Seb and REEBZ. Usually, when it’s just me and a vocalist, we focus on the one track. What makes this album different is we had the old-school writing sessions, the three of us. We focused on the entire album. It’s still a Toronto Is Broken album. But even the tracks that REEBZ wasn’t on, she still provided input.”

This group effort has pushed the album to new and terrifying heights and given rise to electrifying tracks such as the fatalistic "Raw," and "Martyrs," a brutal fusion of Drum & Bass, and the turbulent single "Breed" featuring REEBZ's screaming vocals and all names of horror movie titles.

Fresh off the back of Toronto Is Broken’s official remix of Netsky’s “Snitch ft. Aloe Blacc” (over 200k streams on Spotify) and Deuce & Charger’s late summer anthem “We Are Made Of Light” (“hands-in-the-air vocals and euphoric nods aplenty” – DJ Mag), the two acts round off a huge 2019 with their long-awaited collaboration, “Pressure” (YANA004). These artists already have a strong history of working together; first with D&C featuring on Toronto’s track “Nothingness Lasts Forever” on his acclaimed 2018 Viper Recordings album “You Are (Not) Alone” and more recently with Toronto remixing “We Are Made of Light” (turning “a classic summer D&B ballad into a fall and winter stunner” – YourEDM).

Their new collaboration does not disappoint. Combining Toronto’s atmospheric sound design and instinctive talent for crafting a dancefloor-moving drop with D&C’s ear for melodic hooks and emotive vocals, the tune rides on a strutting synth-powered rhythm track. Risers and percussion flourishes push the production hard as the track builds, driving to match the lyrical intensity.

Arriving just in time for Xmas and NYE raves, “Pressure” pulls off that rare trick of smashing it on club systems, while also having the hooks to sound big on radio and streaming. Firmly establishing both artists as “ones to watch” for 2020, YANA004 drops on 13th December 2019 on all major online stores and streaming platforms.

“Reminisce” is the second single from Toronto Is Broken’s forthcoming third album “Clare”, bringing forth a new chapter regarding the sound of Toronto Is Broken. Finally fusing together his two music loves, drum & bass and metal, with such clarity, “Reminisce” sets the benchmark in what to expect from TIB’s new album and music from now on.

Natty Campbell (Chase & Status, Chopstick Dubplate & Dub Pistols) also returns for vocal duties after last year’s collaboration “Set It” (ProgRam), providing a high energy vocal, perfectly complimenting the track’s aggressive low-tuned guitars and driving drums.

The flipside features a remix from up and coming YANA producer Matt Neux, bringing his jungle roots to the forefront; big 808's and hefty foghorns. This one's for the bucket hat crew!

YANA013 has also been released in association with the Beats in Mind: Headsbass mental health project, with all funds raised being donated to various mental health charities. YANA013 drops on 14th August 2020 on all major online stores and streaming platforms.

An equal blend of Nu-Metal/Djent riffs and festival drum & bass, this track is most definitely an anthem to come, as stated by MC Sebotage on his debut outing.

Low-tuned halftime riffs, heavy breakdowns and bassline switch ups all glued together by Sebotage's vocals, the gunfinger-weilding world of drum & bass collides with the circle pits.
