Amsterdam based producer Carrier storms onto ProgRAM for his debut release which features two fresh selections for the imprint. A label which has spent a decade fashioning its roster, it still manages to bring new life to its catalogue, something which is obvious through the records unleashed by its camp. Carrier joins their sphere of influence by bringing double-sided single ‘Solonight / Locust’ into the frame, putting a spotlight on their burgeoning career for ProgRAM’s audience.

Beginning with the plucky and strummed strings alongside the wavering synthesis of ‘Solonight’ and finishing with the sense of bass weighted urgency present throughout ‘Locust’, it’s a tale in two parts heavily influenced by the likes of Dossa & Locuzzed and High Tea Music. Now a staple of the Viper roster, Austrian duo Dossa & Locuzzed have made a name for themselves with their impressive take on the Drum & Bass. Drawing from a wide array of influences ranging from funk to techno, jazz, and everything in between, the one thing that is consistent is the quality. Now, marking their first release of 2023, Dossa & Locuzzed are back in a big way with a two part single, “Enough” featuring Eviya and “Floating”.

“Enough” is an upbeat liquid number, opening with the genre’s favourite “Think” break, used in a bouncy and bubbly way before Eviya’s enchanting vocals take center stage. Full of jazzy melodies, this liquid-esque track is given the Dossa & Locuzzed twist with a drop that is sure to catch crowds off guard, standing in firm juxtaposition of the soothing sounds of the intro and bridge.

The flipside of the single, “Floating”, takes us back to Dossa & Locuzzed’s roots with plenty of funky-fied energy and a dark yet groovy drop that was made with the dancefloor in mind. A fresh take on genre staples, Dossa & Locuzzed have once again produced something that is simultaneously nostalgic and new, something that has become a signature for the duo.

To say 2020 has been a tumultuous year for artists and record labels is an understatement to say the least, however, Toronto Is Broken's YANA Music imprint has just grown from strength to strength, bringing some of the finest in dancefloor drum & bass to the listener. Originally set up in May 2019 as a means to self-release his own work, Toronto Is Broken's label has now grown into a strong family of artists, honing and nurturing newfound talent such as Coastal, Matt Neux, Vypes, as well as providing a home for some more established acts such as Aktive and Richter.

Celebrating this fact and to round off such a challenging year, YANA Music is proud to announce their first in a line of annual compilation albums: "YANA2020"!

Of the 20 tracks on this album, 10 are some of the highlights from this year such as Aktive's peak-time anthem "Sunchaser", Coastal's jaw-dropping debut "Here We Go" and the monstrous Matt Neux remix of Toronto Is Broken's "Reminisce". Alongside these tracks feature 10 brand-new exclusives to the album from label main-stays Matt Neux, Battletek and Vypes, as well as some brand new names for the YANA roster, Living Plastic, Mojay, Corrupted Mind, Volition and Theatrix.
