While carefully handling their respective careers, postponing then their obvious collaboration, Möd3rn trio's members have capitalized its desire and now deliver its mere substance, in the rightest moment, where, simply, all the distant forces converge.
The six daring, expert hands merge now into a unique entity, unanimously moving within the same effort towards techno music. Of the distinct identities merely remains the ethereal, synthetic essence devoted to the group, and the common musical passion that leads it. The formula is elaborated freely: each one's adjunctions -subtle keys, nervous chords, underground blows, rhythmical uproars- pour into a thick maelstrom, opaque, condensing Detroit's grieving sensibilities as well as last decade's bewildering cacophonies. The potion obtained is irresistible, an ecstatic hybrid, prodigiously actual, that renders all the genre's diversity and dynamism.
Chance intertwined their paths and now the three companions celebrate both the friendship that resulted and the good fortune that has driven it, by improvising live together as one faceless, solid body agitated by the urge of dance and music, composing the material that shall be processed later on to form their eponym label's releases.

On Records, the label of Dutch artist agency On and On, have impressed with their first quartet of releases. Alongside established Techno talent, the label have also given a platform to 
up and coming producers from the motherland.

005 introduces us to Gal Tsadok Hai. The young Amsterdam based artist describes his own sound as deep, dark, rhythmic and spacious, as is evident on both originals on his MOLAR EP. Rhythmic grooves and industrial sounds combine on the cavernous title track, whilst Sgear, on the flip, introduces a prominent snare and tough purring synth line. 

The first of the remixes comes from label boss Jeff Rushin, who strips back Molar, creating an equally spacious rework with a clean sound and crisp feeling. Italian producer Ness gets to grips with Sgear, upping the tempo and intensity to create a more aggressive take on the original.

<p>For the most recent chapter in the Opia Records story, the Swiss label turn their head to Christian Cambas, a Greek producer who’s already repped esteemed labels such as 1605, Great Stuff and Gate Null Recordings. A techno head to the core, Cambas reminds us of his undoubted talents on the ‘The Other’ EP, an electrifying listen that will move even the most stubborn of dance floors.<br />
The action gets going with the title track, which is a relentless, energy-laced track that builds and builds throughout, all the time leaving the listener on the edge of their seat. As the intensity builds, so too does the sharp kicks and the hissing snares. Eventually, it all culminates in a dark and twisted voyage to the more discerning side of the electronic music spectrum. A more than solid club weapon, this one has ‘peak time at Berghain’ written all over it.<br />
On the flip side to all this we have a remix from Axel Karakasis. Karakasis is a veteran of the Greek techno scene and a man who’s been putting his own stamp on the genre for some time now. His remix is essentially a subtle interpretation of the original, and one that sticks out from the pack thanks to its many driving motifs and its uncanny ability to stop you in your tracks. A cracking set of tracks whereby each compliments the other, the latest Opia record truly is a joy to behold.</p>
