With the focus on a snare drum roll, a upward pitching part, a melody, a fat baseline and acid elements. Acid in that case means, crazy sounds in a groovy beat. Hope you like it - have fun.

Fisher debuted “Ya Kidding” at the beginning of the Summer and it took a life of it’s own. It was perpetually in the top 10 for months, one of the most Shazamed tracks in Ibiza & UK through the festival season, took over multiple chart positions around the globe, and included an official video featuring an epic shoe-off, and became one of the biggest songs of 2017. 

With a track that strong as your first record, it was going to be a hard act to follow. Fortunately, Fisher’s sophomore release “Oi Oi” puts all those fears to rest. 

Leading off the EP is “Stop It”—the already infamous ‘roller coaster song’ that fans ask us about daily. The marriage of the track’s bassline and one sentence verse combine for an attention-grabbing single that raises the energy exponentially no matter where it’s played.

“Ya Didn’t” adds a funky bass bounce to a heavy synth stab, and a big buildup that cements Fisher’s reputation as a monster of the party.

Jacob makes his Phobiq debut and kicks off his EP with the haunting title track which twists and turns with hypnotic spoken sword snippets and grinding hats. Things continue in the same vein in his collaboration with DJOKO, as we are introduced to manic claps, percussion galore and Old School stabs. &#8220;MDxx High&#8221; offers a more subliminal approach at first, courtesy of the rubber-band bassline, but then flips everything around and breaks into an ultra-retro synth lead. &#8220;Tribe&#8221; closes up with a firm nod to the roots of this sound, and before we know it we are witnessing an actual siren burst out of nowhere.

Tom Laws returns to Phobiq with four juicy cuts and &#8220;Ever Known&#8221; gets things going with hoovers and synth stabs. The aptly-titled &#8220;Deeper&#8221; is up next and lives up to its name as diva vocal snippets and classy chords lead the way. &#8220;Brainwashed&#8221; brings arpeggios and moody electronics to the table, while &#8220;Raven&#8221; closes the EP with another synth-laden arrangement, complete with a nod to the old school.

After Thomas Evans&#8217; &#8216;Glassy Session&#8217; album release a few months ago it&#8217;s finally time for a remix treatment. Skober is up first with his melodic interpretation of &#8216;Acidatlantic&#8217; while Mario Ochoa takes on &#8216;Bitch is Back&#8217; adding a more sinister approach with menacing synths going through the entire track. 
Matt Sassari is next offering non less than a stomping and swinged-out bass followed by a hypnotical synth and vocal for &#8216;In The Soup&#8217;, and last but not least, Trunkline closes this grandiose EP in his unique style with his aspect of &#8216;Backdoor&#8217;.

After their first appearance on Phobiqs Abilities series back in October, the talented Nicolas Taboada and the distinguished duo Beico & MT93 team-up for their solo debut titled “Echoes of Nowhere”.
The title track sets the mood as soaring synths and melodic riffs clear the way for the epic breakdown, while “Everyday” continues in the same vein all the way through before we are introduced to a groovy vocal section for the grand finale. 
Closing this exquisite release is “Elevation” with its stomping rhythm section followed by bumping bass which ensures a flawless ride.

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell.

Intec's new release is from UMEK who is a Slovenian artist accredited with kick-starting the techno scene in his home country, before earning critical acclaim on a global scale when he first started his career in the 90s.

Having released on labels ranging from CLR and Novamute right through to Toolroom, in recent years UMEK's own imprint "1605" has also become a main outlet for his music.

People with a good knowledge of technos history will be more than aware of the impact of UMEKs classics tracks, such as his anthemic Gatex that came out only a few years before his first Intec release in 2005.

Having also collaborated with many influential figures such as Chris Liebing and Joey Beltram, this new solo EP is UMEKs third release on Intec.

Titled Percussionix the EP opens with (Mix 1) which centres around a thick set bassline cut with filter sweeps and full of menacing intent. Leading the track is a combination of tribal percussion loops, which provide the track's main driving force.

Track two is UMEKs alternative mix of Percussionix which titled (Mix 2) has a more refined sound with the raw edges of the percussion being rounded off to smooth the sound, and its bassline is left unfiltered so it becomes more of a gradual sweep that grows with building tension.
