The Mexican DJ, producer and guitarist had premature contact with music at age 10 as a guitarist for multiple school bands and years later in local bands composing original songs and several "covers" of Indie-Rock, he managed to win the admiration of industry figures such as Andrik Palacios himself from "Drims" and Alejandro Cervantes from "Maldita Vecindad", so the stages and the industry are not new for this musician.
At 23 he began the project of "° Corvex °" product of his passion for electronic music, with a clear influence of Deep House, Progressive house, Minimal House and Techno, the sound of ° Corvex ° experiments with the "groove" of the elegant genres and the energy of Techno, creating serious atmospheres with a touch of mystery but never forgetting the essence of "House" ... dance. His genre is not faithful to just one, but his love for the cosmos and fiction have led him to create sets and original themes that try to emulate what would be heard in a "Space Club”. Managing to position himself in national and international tops on the "Mixcloud" page, and having had multiple appearances on the Berlin German radio "Limufy" the name of ° Corvex ° is increasingly emerging in the industry.

I started my musical journey as a DJ in the Australian & UK
dance scene back in the early 90s, playing at underground
parties and clubs in Melbourne & London. After a seven-year
hiatus, playing only private gigs, I started to compose and
produce original electronic music in 2007. But, it wasn’t until
2015 that I began to take music production seriously and
make it my main creative focus.
Since then I’ve been developing my knowledge in electronic
music production and composing original material. These
days, I mainly enjoy mixing deep beats and some of my
favourite labels include: Get Physical Music, Systematic
Colours, Dirty Bird, Canopy Sounds, Solid Grooves Records,
Strictly Rhythm, Shanty Radio Moscow, Permanent Vacation
and Kittball.

Aus dem Interesse zur elektronischen Musik, und der Liebe zu Vinyl entwickelte sich 2002 mehr als nur ein Hobby. Die ersten Partys fesselten ihn so sehr, dass er bei der musikalischen Untermalung den Part an den Plattentellern mehr und mehr übernahm. Den eigenen Musikstil zu entwickeln, die richtigen Tracks zur richtigen Zeit zu spielen, all dies galt es zu lernen. 

Als Crewmitglied des ehemaligen Sparte13-Clubs in Naumburg folgten Auftritte mit Künstlern wie Robag Whrume, Cinthie, Martin Landsky, Dapayk , Mac-Kee uvm... Diese prägen seinen Sound bis heute.

In Erfurt angekommen, erwartete Ihn wieder eine neue Welt der Clubkultur. Man fand schnell Anschluss in neuen Crews und Clubs, wie dem Centrum. Ein Jahr später folgte die Etablierung, als ein Teil der BAYOU-Festival Crew. Events mit Künstlern wie Dixon, Gerd Janson, DJ Hell, Konstantin Sibold, Perel, Glowal, uvm. ließen das Musikerherz Jahr für Jahr aufs neue hochschlagen und die Begeisterung für die elektronische Musik niemals verstummen.

Vor 2 Jahren, wurde er ebenfalls Mitglied der Berliner Right Here, Right Now Crew, die Podcastreihen sowie Veranstaltungen organisiert. Das produzieren von eigenen EP’s und einem Longplayer, waren eines der vielen Highlights der letzten Jahre. 

Ein Ende ist noch nicht in Sicht.

Bio:

D Mayer started his career as a DJ and Producer in 2018, since then he has been developing artistically. The Brazilian seeks to express an identity in his works with melodic and progressive compositions using a lot of feeling in his music. He likes to work with percussive elements and strong timbres, being heavily influenced by brass and string instruments.
He released his first song on Mind Connector Records in 2021, Stoycism was his debut and very well accepted, with that came the invitation for a remix, his second track that would be released by the same label a few months later. Constantly evolving, D Mayer has his first EP released by Prototype Music, the "Imagine This”. And just released his track Valley of Souls by Prisma Techno.
D Mayer, in addition to presenting his monthly podcast, the Taping, is co-founder of the Melodic Eye project.

Dear friends, we are proud to present you the 15th DHM podcast. This time, we meet up with Emky Rolack from Concepción, Chile.

His firsts steps in Electronic Music were in 1996, listening Techno and House from electronic music radioshows. In 1999 he started to play in private sessions and school parties, having his firsts club sessions in 2001, when he began collecting vinyl, turning completely to this format. Since then, Emky has played in many places, sharing booth with outstanding DJs at international level. 

On the other hand, Emky has been active as producer since 2014, counting on a series of releases on the labels Stick and Stones, White Music Records, Brain Food Records, Mars Darkness and Severus, with positive support from his peers. The production and mixing of his music are made only dawless. Since 2019, Emky DJs including live act with analogue machines (drum machine and synth) to play his own tracks and bring his passion for the Techno music production and mixing to the dancefloor, in the most pure and honest way.

Thank you very much Emky for being part of this musical journey.
