Joep Mencke is a producer based in the Netherlands. Through his Dj-sets, breath-work, and, recently, his new live-set, he uses his music to facilitate an inward journey. Through musical storytelling he aims to provide a vehicle for exploration and transformation. His music, which is heavily inspired by nature and the immensely diverse cultures on this planet, can be characterized as: compelling, deep, and melodious. Leading us into the third century of sunset grooves mix tapes we have our friend and music lover Oscar Mederos. We crossed paths a number of years ago enjoying each other's music critiques and comments on music we loved and shared. 

Originally from Cuba and now based in Miami, you can be sure that he can point you in the right direction for any underground event that involves seriously good music. A true passionate, which can be heard whenever he is behind the decks. As a resident DJ at the "Do not sit on the furniture" nights or taking part in All Day I Dream events, he is without doubt an artist who will lead you on a unique musical experience. 

Therefore it is with a huge pleasure to be able to share this wonderful chill set he has put for us. Something light to go with this unusually rainy and cloudy summer we are experiencing in certain parts of the world.

Hello friends!  ☯︎

Here's the recording of an ambient set I had the pleasure to play at Harvest Festival 2022 this fall. The gathering took place in a beautiful pine forest in Ontario and has been happening for over 20 years now.  

I would describe this set as Yin energy, a place where the rhythms are less dominant, which allows the storytelling to be experienced in a more calm environnement. It’s one of the most fulfilling moments that I felt in my music journey this year. 

In the sometimes chaotic and noisy world we live in, it feels somehow very healthy and natural to connect with these frequencies that are rooted, zen, earthy yet cosmic. A sonic safe space in which we can be present and breathe. 

Like my yoga teacher would say:  may the benefit of this session be shared with all beings in the world.

Originally a child of reggae, Bonjour Ben started DJing in his early twenties. With the help of the tight DJ community, he has established his organic sound has become a staple of the organic and intercultural house scene, including appearances in Berlin (Watergate, About Blank, Sisyphos, katerblau),
Amsterdam, Zürich, London, Sao Paulo, NYC, Cape Town and more...

Ben's approach is hypnotic, he embarks us gently but surely in his dreamy universe. He is very creative and delicate. His sets feel like an endless flow, two hours becomes six and feels like ten minutes. We forget about time and the outside world, we are drawn into the present moment and don’t want to leave this world filled with softness.
