This is an album that I worked really hard on and am super proud of. It was a final project for my music major in college but it is also a music project that I really wanted to do on its own. It is very much inspired by artists like Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Bon Iver, The Decemberists, The Mountain Goats, Sufjan Stevens, and Johnny Cash. I really hope you like it!!

A trip down memory lane for anyone who's ever been camping and gathered to sing around a campfire at the end of an arduous day. This gal was never a very hardy or handy camper, but she loved to get out her guitar and sing, when the tents went up and the sun went down. She will never forget the happy times she had with her friends, burning the marshmallows, getting eaten by mosquitos, but nevertheless enjoying the fellowship of the song circle that lives on in her memory forever. Also a tragic love story - how Trygve the Trustworthy lost his Norse lady Solveig to forces of the deep. The loons played their part, and the lake still tells the sad story to anyone who chances upon this place.

A self-described "young old lady" tries to beat back the infirmities of age, wearing her orthopedics at the health club. She's musing about her desire to learn song-writing and hopes it's not too late. Bewildered by the current state of pop music, she wishes Tom Petty were still around.
