The Homegirl Monie is a Hip Hop artist out of Southern California who grew up on 90's Hip Hop and R&B. With influence from Nas to Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder to Kanye West, and Teena Marie to Lauryn Hill, she finds a way to give melodic hooks without sacrificing lyricism and hard hitting bars. "The Calixy" is her first project, a name inspired by her intrigue with the unknown and pride for the West Coast. She dropped her 2nd project, While We're Waiting in 2022.
