Klangkünstler – Pfötchentango Remixed (3000Grad012)


Unter den Sternen einer lauen Frühlingsnacht hat der KlangKünstler drei seiner Musiker-Freunde zum Pfötchentango aufgefordert. Herausgekommen sind dabei drei schwerelose Groove-Variationen des gleichnamigen Titels, alle der nun anbrechenden Freiluftsaison gewidmet.

Welches Grundgefühl den Mollono.Bass Mix bestimmt, kommt schon in dessen Titel deutlich zum Ausdruck: Endlich Sommer! Der chronisch tiefenentspannte Mecklenburger jagt die markante Melodie des Originals mit treibenden Percussion-Einlagen durch den Sampler, um ihre schillernden Fragmente mit viel Delay und Echo zu einem neuen Hörgenuss zu verschmelzen. Auch Rene Bourgeois verfolgt mit seinem Remix ein ganz bestimmtes Motto: Back 2 Oldshool! Umsetzen tut er es mit einem eingängigen Rap-Sample, das sich unaufdringlich zwischen die Akkorde des Pfötchentangos fügt. Wie ein Seidenschal im Wind bewegt sich schließlich das komplexe Melodiegeflecht von Nayan Soukie, der mit ordentlich Tiefgang und melancholischer Dramatik eine komplett andere Richtung einschlägt. 



Under the stars of a mild night in spring the KlangKünstler asked three of his musician friends to dance the Pfötchentango, the paw tango. This resulted in three weightless groove variations of the title with the same name, all made to be played open air.

Mollono.Bass gives expression to his motivation already in the title of his mix: Endlich Sommer – Finally summer! The chronically laid-back man from Mecklenburg engages lively percussions to drive the striking melody of the original through the sampler. Using long threads of delay and echo he then re-patches its glistening fragments, creating an unheard listening pleasure. Also Rene Bourgeois has a motto for his remix: Back 2 Oldshool! This means that he puts a catchy rap phrase between the light chords of the Pfötchentango. The remix by Nayan Soukie takes yet a completely different direction. His complex and highly melodic arrangement is like a silk shawl in the wind, creating a distinctly deep and dramatic feeling with a touch of melancholia.
