After more than 5 years of collective work, Berlin's Sonntagsinstitut Crew kicks off their own imprint with a Various Artists digital release.

On the techno side, long-time Sonntagsinstitut's friend Elad Magdashi shows off the very best of his producion skills. For "Unicorn", he came up with uplif-ting synths and stabs, a stomping kick, straightforward percussion and the es-sential bit of bubbling acid as the icing on the cake. The EP is rounded off with another resident's track. "Ok, But This Time" by of the best of two worlds: DJ-friend-ly, reduced synths and meandering percussive elements fl ow into a ma-jestic, dreamy pad and back again into the fl oor-fi lling stripped sounds of the tracks' core groove.

For their second release of 2021 Haven are proud to welcome four brand new talents to the label for the fourth edition of their ‘Sardonic Tonality’ VA compilation series.

French production powerhouse and central Wrongnotes member Makornik launches the record at full-steam-ahead with his heavy roller ‘Funky Transfusion’ on the A1. Perfectly tuned drum rhythms, tense risers and an addictive vocal loop propel this opener forward with precise production techniques guaranteed to give dancers itchy feet. This is followed by a quirky stomper from NYC-based party starter Buzzi, a founding member of Brooklyn’s seminal Black Hole event series, with ‘Blablazo’ on the A2. Driving Schranz kicks, an uplifting synth melody and squelchy alien percussion elements combine in another dance-floor number ripe for the return of nightlife over the coming year.

London-based Greek rising talent and Repitch signee MarcelDune picks up the tempo on the B1 with rave destruction in ‘Distorted Perception’. Rolling basslines, relentless drum patterns, wailing synth design and crunchy vocals fuse together in another colourful smasher that demands moving feet. Finally upcoming Irish artist Céilí closes the record with his distinctive broken-beat bruiser ‘Intinn Do Cheann’ following from his outing on Lobster Theremin last year. Peculiar, droning atmospheres, speedy drum programming, and a cheeky synth melody interplay to closer out another VA ready to light up international dance-floors.

I Don't Like A Fear

Leitrim-based DJ and producer Fearghal Feely makes use of the alias Havik for his journey that delves into raw, stripped-back yet driving, and sometimes trippy techno. 

Having established his solo alias two years ago he has since been dedicated to working on establishing his sound by means of consistent work in the studio for hours on end. Havik'a unreleased began to gain support from numerous artists such as Marron, Truncate, Kaiser, Alarico, Marcal, and more in recent times which signified a step in the right direction.

After this string of success, he has now decided it is time to release his first solo EP on Intra Records. This comes as an exciting time in the young DJ and producer's journey as you can expect a number of scheduled releases on Aktiv, Syxt, and Meatmarket to drop later this year. Expect this year to be nailed with a full-on flurry of new material from Havik.

Intra Records aims to defend the underground essence of techno through quality hypnotics, textures, and percussive releases.

This record label and movement as a project tends to lean towards organizing events where the idea of freedom is promoted, accentuating the focus on the techno culture of the 90s.

X/Y/Secret introduces 'Body Radiance' by Aethernal, an EP that carves a unique path from the contemplative depths of dub to the sharp patterns of the Techno dance floor.
In XYS005, Aethernal crafts a series of tracks that smoothly transition between polished, introspective accents and high-energy peaks. The EP invites you to explore these varying soundscapes – deep and immersive at one moment, vibrant and driving the next.

Adding even more contrast to this release is a remix by Torc. He takes the original into a place with no spotlights, only groove and rough textures.

Leiras concludes the “Turquoise Tundra” concept with a second EP that thoroughly represents the characteristic sound from the author and expand it to another horizonts. Once more, we find different tempos and intensities in another powerful combination of tracks that will see the light in early 2020.
On the A side we can find a slower synthwork with multiple bass layers named “Lifelink” and also, “Ways of Communication”, a complex rhythm composition with effected voices and an intricate sound design.
On the flip side, “Unexplored” gives a classier vision to the release, with continual and endless synth sequences flowing over hard stepping drum patterns. Everything has an end, and “Turquoise Camo” is the perfect epilogue for this project, pushing forward the expectre of sound, the complexity on the rhythms and a significant arrange progression. 
A place where the futuristic sound of IDM embraces the physic consistency of techno.
