This man is truly a hard worker in music production. His friends complain that he can’t stop writing new music even at their home parties, where all girls go wild when they hear signature Gronery style. No surprise, because Artem has been making music for more than 10 years now. Starting with making beats on legendary eJay DAW in the ghetto of Krasnoyarsk (Siberia, Russia) he studied on his own what groove is. Being in progress, using new hardware such as MPC and synths Artem started his experiments with electronic music. After moving to Moscow Gronery crystallized his own sound and all boundaries between styles were finally erased. Now he is more into making fat hip-hop beats, super dope deep & tech house.

Segment EP it’s practically an album of selected tracks, which were written in the last 3 years. We collected significant part of club ready bombs from Artem’s Ableton projects for your prime time gigs plus added super heavy remix from DJ Max (Sergei Timoshenko, art-director of legendary Propaganda Moscow Club) to wrap up this release finally. PREMIERE : Gronery - Laps Around The Sun

Having recently opened her account on Ubiquity Records with the brilliant, Bali-inspired single ‘Kete’, Rose Robinson returns as Tigerbalm with another snapshot of her forthcoming debut album, International Love Affair. As with its predecessor, ‘Waiheke’ gleefully blurs the boundaries between contemporary club music and the rising star’s love of rhythms and musical cultures from around the world. 
All of the tracks on International Love Affair were specifically inspired by places Robinson has visited pre and post-pandemic. ‘Waiheke’ is no exception, with Robinson starting work on the track following an inspirational trip to the Flamingo Pier festival on Waiheke Island, New Zealand. Once again, the track is rooted in the London-based producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist’s deep love of delay-laden 21st century disco, organic house and deep electronic club cuts. Pairing these influences with African-influenced percussion and sampled chants, Robinson delivers a sparkling fusion of Afro-cosmic and dubbed-out nu-disco rich in sparkling synth sounds and warm bass.
Appropriately, Robinson’s original Tigerbalm take on ‘Waiheke’ is backed with a wealth of inspired remixes tailored to tantalise and tease a variety of dancefloors. The headline-grabbing remix comes from fellow ‘world dance’ fusionists Alma Negra, whose organic sounding, loose-limbed rework adds dubbed-out synth, guitar and vocal snippets to rolling Afro-disco beats and a faithful rendition of Robinson’s brilliant bassline. A smoother, more atmospheric interpretation of the track follows next in the shape of the Bananas For Breakfast remix – think hazy, mid-tempo Balearic nu-disco smothered in sunrise-ready chords, Steve Hillage style guitar textures and heady, star-gazing intent. It’s a remix that’s as immersive and mind-soothing as it is dancefloor-ready.  Semi-Delicious founder Demi Riquisimo, a rising star of the London deep and tech-house scenes, delivers a wonderfully spacey, tactile revision in his distinctive style, wrapping echoing sci-fi synths, intergalactic chords and chanted vocal snippets over a subtly acid-flecked house groove, while Quartz opts for a stripped-back, new wave-goes-dub-disco flex on a revision that sounds like a long-lost B-side from a sought-after early ‘80s post-punk single.
Fittingly, Robinson gets the final word with a breezy, laidback ‘Sunset Rework’ built around mid-tempo Afro-house beats, heady hand percussion, stretched-out synthesizer chords and locked-in bass guitar loops. It provides a perfect end to the vinyl version of the EP, with the digital edition also including a tidy Tigerbalm radio edit for those who prefer shorter blasts of inspired cross-cultural musical fusion. ‘Waiheke’, then, is another sublime single from an artist whose distinctive personal style is rightly winning plaudits from across the musical spectrum. Her soon-come debut album is one you won’t want to miss.

PREMIERE : Tigerbalm - Waiheke

Italian native MUSTA presents an elaborate six track LP project, titled ‘Tamburi Parlanti’ which translates to ‘Talking Drums’ in English. The body of work marks a turning point in his career to make more than electronic music, and delves into a plethora of live music and field recordings recorded for the album, ranging from polyrhythmic tribal drum-patterns to Afro-funk bass chords, congas and jazz-keyboard, played by local musicians, as well as himself.

Musta’s love for music began during his 11 years spent living in the Dominican Republic. This encounter of Latin rhythms started the musical genre contamination that to this day distinguishes his productions. In this LP, like the rest of his releases, the music is diverse, tribal and hypnotic. Respectful of the past yet constantly innovative. This love of the past and future has led him to release edits and originals on staple labels such as Nervous Records, Samosa Records and Tropical Disco to name a few.

Music aside the artwork has significant meaning, the mask shown is that of the ancient Mamuthone icon of Sardinian folklore which goes back further than 2000 years, defined as a representation of the collective soul of Sardinia, the ancient ritual of the Mamuthone creatures is that of a rhythmic dance where 12 of the creatures dance together, representing the 12 months of the year. With this theme, Musta aims to connect the dots of this pastime tradition into the album, reflecting it visually as well as through the music itself.

"Tamburi Parlanti LP is a collection of songs that I’ve made myself around the world, recording and collaborating with various musicians of many different nationalities. The music reflects my musical path in recent years which draws strong inspiration from afro-funk and latin disco from the 70s and 80s. My intent is to create music that presents a journey between the hottest Latin sounds, over to more African disco rhythms.” - Says MUSTA on the EP.

Suzanne Kraft's ambient LP "Talk From Home" and his EP released as Dude Energy were definitely some of 2015's highlights. The LA producer returns this month with the "DJ Safety" EP released via Stuttgart label Kitjen, who had previously welcomed Hotel Lauer, Tambien and Shit Robot. This time Diego Herrera offers three beautifully crafted house jams, including the phlegmatic Japanese-inspired "Skype". As usual with Suzanne Kraft, the production is flawless : a steady beat, a mesmeric bass line, dreamy pads, a clever use of the delay, Herrera knows how to tell a story. Mind-blowing and already essential, out on March 28th !
