1.	Karla Quintana kutoka Mexico ameteuliwa na Katibu Mkuu wa Umoja wa Mataifa António Guterres hii leo kuongoza Taasisi Huru ya kuchunguza watu waliotoweshwa nchini Syria, taasisi ambayo imeundwa na Baraza la Kuu la Umoja wa Mataifa mwezi Juni mwaka jana 2023. Guterres amewaambia waandishi wa habari hii leo kwamba yeye na timu yake lazima waruhusiwe kutekeleza kwa kina jukumu lao, na vile vile mifumo yote ya kimataifa ya kusongesha ulinzi wa haki za binadamu nchini Syria na uwajibikaji wa uhalifu uliotendwa lazima wawe na wanachohitaji ili kutekeleza majukumu yao muhimu.
2.	Baraza la Usalama la Umoja wa Mataifa limekuwa na kikao cha ngazi ya mawaziri kuhusu Akili Mnemba, au AI ambapo Katibu Mkuu António Guterres amesema pamoja faida kubwa ya teknolojia hiyo bado kuna changamoto iwapo haitasimamiwa vema na binadamu. Hivyo amependekeza kuundwa mwa mfumo wa kimataifa wa kuendeleza Akili Mnemba kwa uwiano na usawa, ukijikita kusaidia nchi zinazoendelea kuzuia kuibuka kwa pengo la teknolojia hiyo kati ya walio nayo na wasio nayo.
3.	Na huko Bunia, jimboni Ituri mashariki mwa Jamhuri ya Kidemorkrasia ya Congo, DRC vijana 24 wakiwemo wanawake 6 wamenufaika na mafunzo ya siku tano ya mbinu za kisasa za kilimo kutoka walinda amani wa Bangladeshi wanaohudumu kwenye ujumbe wa Umoja wa Mataifa wa kulinda amani nchini humo MONUSCO. Lengo ni kuwezesha kilimo kuwa chanzo cha kipato kwa wakazi na kuimarisha uchumi wa eneo hilo. 
4.	Katika kujifunza lugha ya Kiswahili hii leo mchambuzi wetu mlumbi wa Kiswahili Joramu Nkumbi kutoka nchini Tanzania, anafafanua maana ya neno “AKRABA.”
