Bio

Yonder Breaks is Rick Bickerstaff, a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, the roots of bluegrass/folk and country/western show up in songs like "This Life of Us" and "Money Ain't Nothin'." But the influence of coastal living, along with a strong passion for surfing is not left out; particularly in "More Beautiful" and "Like a Song," which are about his wife and oldest daughter, respectively.

Yonder Breaks performs often around Los Angeles, where you can see him tell stories and sing songs about fatherhood, faith, career and creative pursuits. He also enjoys writing blogs, fiction, and shooting skate videos with his two daughters.

Fun fact: Rick and his wife are avid fans of Christmas, and even got married a week prior. As a result, you'll often hear sleigh bells where they don't belong in Yonder Breaks music.
